    This won't be much of a "build" in relative terms...
    My trusty old FJ 40 I really did build most all of it myself:
    rebuilt the 2F, built an SM420, added an Orion 4 to 1 transfer,
    rebuilt the axles with ARB up front and aussielocker rear
    disc brakes all the way around
    cut off all the body work I bent and put sliders under the door jams
    and whatever else I did over the years...still have it!

    Brute Force Fab rear bumper is in the shop waiting to get painted; this photo is off the BFF website.
    Warn M8000-s is on the floor in the shop.
    I'll order an Undercover Hidden Winch mount for it after I get the lift on...

    Some of the guys from MetalTech Fab bought the Ironman 4x4 USA distributorship from Camel 4x4;
    So the 2" lift kit is taking a while to get here; should be in my hands by mid to late May....

    I'm probably gonna order a TRD exhaust as well.

    That's what I got for npw!

    I installed the TRD exhaust yesterday.
    Raised the truck and put it on jack stands; dropped the spare to make room, and took the bolts off where the catback portion connects to the main exhaust.
    I then used a little silicon lube and some spread jaw pliers to pop the rubber hangers;
    I did the ends first and left it hanging by the middle ones, and then dropped the exhaust on to my chest and out from under the truck.
    Reverse the procedure for the install; done in about 40 minutes.

    The TRD system muffler is smaller than the stock one, but, the stock system seemed lighter than the TRD system.

    It has nice tone, and though it seems a little loud in the 1500 rpm range now, I've heard it mellows and deepens over time.

    Nice truck! I'm trying to force myself not to buy some FJ trail teams. Nice choice on tires, you'll love them. I've only had mine on for a few weeks, but they are awesome so far.

    Sears has had the tires for two weeks.
    I ebayed the wheels from Bev Smith Toyota who made shipping labels April 28; but has yet to ship them...

    Today I put on the BFF rear bumper, took off the stock running boards, and plasti-dipped the badges and front chrome grill.

    I'll get pix up after a while :D

    It is a nicely made piece, and bolted right up with no fuss. Recommended.
