I am fixing to install an ICON suspension and figured I would start a build log. I have already added a few small accessories. I start with a picture with a Gobi rack and Bushwacker fender flares installed.

I installed the front suspension today. It took about 5 hours. This is the first time I've done any front end work. So if anyone is reading this and can't decide if you can don this by yourself, take it from me you can. It was a hard day's work. I'm exhausted.

This is what I installed today and will install tomorrow. Ordered it from Down South Motor Sport.

I read several posts and found the posts here on Tacoma World better than the directions that came with the Icons. The tie rod end does not need to be detached.
First: remove the shock/coils and the UCA.

The hardest task was removing the long bolt that holds the UCA to the frame.

The metal had to be bent a little but not much for the bolt to slide out. There is also a wire on the inside (under the hood) that needs to be moved out of the way. You can see in the above picture that the bolt is position to be slid back in.

I installed Icons 2.5 extended travel and Icon UCA.

This is the old and the new UCA.
