I've had the truck for a while now and have been slowly getting it where I want it. Been lurking here a lot and have used it for several references on the truck. Reason for the "TACO" name, well it dang sure was not my idea. The P.O. already took the "MA" off of the Tacoma emblems and replaced the MA with some knock off letters. I took the knock off letters off and just left the Taco for now. Lots have been done and a ton is left to do! Some of the upgrades and fixes so far on the 05 Tacoma:
    -New Carpet
-Spiral Cable(airbag light, no horn, and no cruise control)
-Three days of cleaning, mud that is
-removed the Tint as it was pealing(Pain in the A$$)
-removed the body lift(four day project that was)
    -OBX-R header/mid pipe installed(originals were cracked)
-made a custom steering shaft due to rubbing the header
-sold the wheels and tires that were on the truck and bought some lightly used MOTO METAL 20's and Mickey Thompson Baja A/T's. 33" tires
-removed all bed railings and trays from bed, and bed lined the railings
-added projector lights and LED tail lights, originals were horrible and tail lights were cracked.
    -LED interior lights/corner lights/tag lights
-cleaned up the old Exhaust(aluminum brightener is the best thing invinted)
-fixed the over head compass/temp gauge(resoldered the contacts)
-repainted the shifter cover OEM silver(turned out nice)
-new brake pads(repainted callipers and drums)

Now on to list of stuff to do:
-retint the windows and front window tint strip
-repaint the front and rear bumper(rock chips on rear/front brush guard rub marks on the front bumper)
    -side step bars(thinking Go Rhino)
-find some good 33" mud tires for a 20" rim
    -Oil catch can install
    -clean throttle body
-locate dummy switch inserts for the dash(P.O. lost them)
-rear third stock E-Locker eventually(truck is wired for it already!)
-New TRD decals(originals are chipping(may go all black on these decals)
    -new VSV lines and others
    -convert to synthetic Oil
-change front and rear diff fluids along with T-case

Here is when I bought the truck not knowing what I was getting myslef into. Definately looked good from a distance. Road wise it was just plum horrible. I hated the humming of these tires and the front end facia would bounce after bumps. Dang body mount nuts backed off. The body lift was the worse thing ever done to the truck and I would never have another one on any truck I own. Just plain not safe in IMO. Ill post some more pics tomorrow getting closer to where the truck sits today.

The inside of the truck was horrible, but the seats and dash were in good shape. I didn't take many photos before the carpet install or center console painting. Here is right after I pulled the old carpet and started to clean the floor boards.

Sweet truck! Where did you get the carpet from and was it hard to instal? Mine is getting a little tired and I've been thinking about replacing it.

I got the carpet from Stockinteriors.com. I've used them before with good luck. Just make sure you dont buy the cheapest thing they have but you dont need the most expensive either. My word of advice on the carpet is to start in the center and work your way out towards the doors. I mean that stating don't trim any carpet on the outside till you have the center console and seats bolted down. You will have to make the wholes for the new carpet. I just took the old carpet out of the truck and placed it on top of the new carpet and made marks as to where I needed to cut. always cut long and final trims in the truck. The carpet fit very well except in one place. That was the rear seat tray. has a wrinkle on each side closest to the back. I can take a pick of it if you would like.

forgot to take pics after cleaning till I was putting it back together. Here is one pic from the front. The rear was the worse part and I made sure it was spotless.
