this is a very budget minded build but here goes​

in feb of 11 i bought my 05 DCSB trd OR prerunner. I put a cheap set of 265/75 ats on and also painted my centercaps and wheels a little.​

I had a crack in the front corner of my bed i fixed with fiberglass and bought some raptor liner and put 3 coats in it to cover the imperfections
I was so please with the bed, and had half the kit left so i decided to do my rockers and flares
Made a fishing rod holder out of some scraps i had laying around.(also made a bed extender but am currently re engineering it)
Had an old leather jacket i cut and covered my center consol with
Valspar satin black spray paint center consol and cd surround
Had a little clear coat bubble on the top of my fender so ventured into platiderp and hit my emblems while i was at itdecided to lift it so modified the zuk mod idea for the rear pick up right at 2" (now removed, one spring cracked) in the back with this5100 shock up grade for front lift back to about factory rake with 1.75 settingalso removed sway bar during shock install
All this has been done by me very diy.

Future mods: 4" c channel front bumper (just picked up material yesterday)255/85/16 maxxis bighorns, and borgwerner 56mm turbo (big thanks to torspd for helping me with my wish list)

ive got about $180 in this bumper, and that includes enough to build another since i had to buy 20' pieces. Start to finish about 18-20 hours lots of trial and error and trying to install by myself ha.

What did you use for the rod holders?

 

1 1/2" conduit and i flattened out a piece of garage opener angle for my bracket

 

I might copy the rod holder idea in the near future.

thanks its a work in progress, but i enjoy tinkering with it, and over the years TW has givin me some pretty good ideas

 

Just wondering about your liner kit you used? Where did you purchase it? I'm wanting to do the bed on my Tundra I just purchased.

 

its was the black raptor liner kit. i got it on ebay but u can find it on Amazon also. a 4 bottle kit with the gun runs about $120 the last i checked. which i could have done all i did to my truck with 3 bottles but i ahd a little snafu when i went do my rocker panels and lost about a half bottle. (the gun wasnt cleaned good and it blew out the top of it) that was 3 coats in the bottom of the bed and 2 coats side walls and top rail and rockers and flares. to do it over again i would prolly do 1 more coat on everything and sand just a little more exspecially in corners, also i would take my flares off and do them separate instead of just taping everything off, but u wont have to worry with that i guess

 

I was thinking of doing my rockers also. I live on gravel so I have alot of rock pecks. Got factory flares so they are painted to match the truck. Just didn't know how the liner would hold up daily on gravel, mud and snow. Thanks for the info

 

Looks good man! I might do that to my camper shell and rims

 

Painted one of my rims and will do doing the rest one at a time while i get some use out of my stock rugged fail spare
