'09 TRD O/R AC Rig Runner Build [Picture Heavy]

Hey Guys,

I guess I'll start by telling a little about myself. I've got a 2009 TRD Off Road Access Cab. Before that I had a 1986 4Runner. I loved that rig, but it just wasn't practical for me anymore with the long highway drives I had to do. I'm going to school right now for petroleum engineering. The past few summers I've roughnecked and then last summer I was working out in West Texas doing drilling engineering. My truck serves as my daily driver and as well a my vehicle to get to different well sites.

As of 9/11/14

Mods so far:

Interior
-Weathertechs
-ScanGuage II
-LED dome and map lights (cool white)
-Alpine INE-W940 head unit
-Kicker combo speakers wired to 760W Pioneer amp
-Alpine Type R 12"sub wired to 1100W Alpine Amp
-Flyzeye accent lighting
-TRD shift knob
-Mobius dash cam

Exterior
-Shorty antenna
-Extang Solid Fold
-Pop N Lock power tailgate lock
-Color matched front grill
-Custom Bedside Decals

Tires/Wheels
-265/75r16 Falken Rocky Mountain ATS (removed)
-285/75r16 Cooper ST Maxx
-Graphite Painted TRD OR wheels with FJ Trail Team center caps

Suspension
-King RR 2.5" Coilovers
-Total Chaos Uniball UCA's
-King RR 2.5" RR Rear Shocks
-OME Dakar Leafs

Engine/Performance
-Aero Turbine muffler (thanks Bennett4!)

Right after I got it:

After lift:

And a shot of my old 4Runner:

Got the lift and tires installed on Monday. I'm really happy with the end result.

Thanks! It's a work in progress, but I'm really happy with how everything's taking shape.

I've done a few minor, cosmetic things since the last update but nothing major. I painted my wheels and added TRD center caps and plastidipped my badges. Other than that, the pictures speak for themselves.

I don't have a picture of it now, but I'll try to snap some interior shots tomorrow. I built the box myself so I can fit it right behind my driver's seat. I like having the option of fitting one person back there if necessary, but I'll never have two people back there so I was fine using that room for my sub.

Thanks! They're the poor man's version of your trail team wheels.

Thanks man. I wish I could have kept the runner, but it just wasn't practical for the long highway drives I have to do. I would've posted some more pictures of it, but I didn't want to clutter my build thread too much.

You don't happen to still have the shell from those first few pics you posted of the truck do you? Looks like you took it off. I'm interested in buying it if so
