I knew you would like that Travis. :D

the King stickers are on my toolbox now!

updates on them to come once I get to Pismo Beach. so far so good. They seem to have really smooth out the ride over bumpy roads. I'm going to attest that to the king IFP's over the Fox ones.

Its such a DRAMATIC difference between open and closed setting when wheeling! I have the adjusters set to full stiff and I love it! Don't let Fox let you believe you can't run compression adjusters for their 2.0 shocks. Fox's CD adjusters suck apparently but their DSC's are good, however, due to lack of internal build info on their DSC's I went with the King's and went one step above on valve stacking shims over my current compression valving (.010/50) on the King adjusters (which are at .012) to compensate for the smaller shaft displacement on the Fox's which are 5/8. I can report back confidently by saying that you can run a setup similar and the adjusters will work as expected! :)

Looks like a fun build man! Isn't it funny how accidents happen, yet we always find a way to come out on top?! The glassworks look good with the bruteforce, always wondered how theyd match up

I thought I was just about done. I guess not. I'm going to be restoring and rebuilding my broken Fox 2.0's which broke over a month ago and slim them down to 8.5" stroke remote reservoirs (using the Fox take off's from my new replacement 10" smooth bodies ;) ) and converting them to pure upper and lower spherical bearing eyelet shocks using new smooth bodies and upper eyelet caps. I will also be modifying the valving to some heavy compression/ lighter rebound settings. I will then be adding them onto my Dirt King lowers via a Total Chaos dual shock hoop. More to come as the build progresses.

When I am done with the shocks, they will look like this:

Nice, how are you hooking them up to the DKs? Are they going to weld another set of mounts on? Is that what the piece on the bottom of the pic is, the mount?

The mounts will have to be custom made but after a quick mock up yesterday I determined that the mounts will have to be burned on in nearly the same identical spot as the TC race lowers are. The only thing which may have to slightly move is the upper mounts a little closer by the curve in order to prevent the shocks from mounting a little too diagonal up there in order to clear the bump stop cans. The last thing I want to do is damage the body cap or the spherical bearings.

Cool, is DK going to add the tabs or are you/someone else?

I tried calling DK to ask them if they sold the tabs but they told me that I had to make them or get them made myself. Interestingly enough, upon calling Total Chaos because the closest Control Arm which matches yours MD line is theirs, they said the same thing. So it looks like it'll have to custom lower arm mounts.

Let the building begin. Upper eyelet caps have arrived. The rest to complete the build arrives Monday.

Ruffstuffspecialties.com they have a bunch of fab parts, like shock mount tabs that could be slightly modified to weld onto a control arm, pretty simple job really since your going with the TC secondary shock mount

I was looking into those kind but ultimately decided on having some custom made. I'll be going to the mod day at BAMF next week to get my hoops burned on and since the location of the actual shock may cause the tabs to come out slightly further then where it typically mounts for TC I'll just leave that kind of mocking up in the hands of Jerry since he does this kind of stuff on the regular.
