Out with the old, in with the new. :) The Icon bits are significantly beefier than the old stuff.

Almost have the front suspension adjusted to where I want it. I'll let it settle for the week and then fine tune the stance this weekend.

I live in suburbia, so I had to improvise when testing things out. :D

The truck drives significantly better now, MUCH smoother. I tried it without the front sway bar in for a bit, but I didn't like how floaty it was, so I put it back in.

The wife and I decided to go play in the snow this weekend. The truck did great.

Woah. That's DMoney's MK2!! I've based everything I've done on my MK2 almost solely off the existence off of that car.

I love the S4 Avant and the B6.

Wow, been awhile since I updated this thread!

I haven't done a whole lot to the truck since installing the Icon suspension (besides adding the canopy and debadging it), I've just been enjoying it for the most part (also, most of my spare money went into finishing up my project motorcycle).

    FullSizeRender%206_zps7zfbiypp_f321d05232b9202bd656c9a64ba7cf62839b3636.jpg

I haven't had as much fun with a vehicle as I've had with this truck in a really long time. There's nothing quite like getting out of the city and going and exploring the wilderness, which Washington has a lot of.

However, one thing I've never liked about the Method wheels I have on the truck is the fact they're all black. So on Saturday I took a couple hours to grind the powdercoat off the lips and give them a brushed finish.

(I probably should have taken the 'after' picture before I got them filthy on the trails yesterday...)

Oh yeah, I also added some flush-mount LED lights on the rear bumper.

How easy was it to cut out the bumper for those lights? Did you just use a dremel or something similar? I really want to do that to my truck because the reverse lights are shit.

It wasn't too bad, just a little time consuming. It's definitely a great example of a time where you want to measure three times, cut once. I covered the rear bumper with two layers of masking tape, then made templates out of index cards. You need to be sure put the lights in the correct spot on the rear bumper or else you'll hit the trailer hitch (don't forget you need to get your hands in there to put the nuts on the bolts, too). Once I was sure I had the templates where I wanted them, I drilled a hole in each corner and used a jigsaw with a metal blade on it to cut it out. After that, I fine-tuned the fitment with a file. I drilled the holes to bolt them in as a last step. Then, I painted the cut edges with some touch-up paint to protect them from rust.

What brand of light bar is that? Did you have to do any cutting to get it mounted?

Brand, I don't know. I found it on ebay, it's a Chinese made one. The bumper needed some minor trimming to fit it where I wanted it. It could be mounted more recessed in the bumper if you were trying to not do any trimming.

Hey man, where did you get this light bar from? Looks great! Also, what fabrication did it take to install it there...I think mine has plastic that would have to be cut out of the way.

I found it on Ebay. Installing it wasn't too bad, I was able to bolt it into the crash bar by drilling a couple holes. You'll need to trim the bumper a bit, but it's not too bad.
