Converted my Haul Master carrier into a bed mount.

Took out the bolt on hitch mount at the bottom of the carrier. The carrier itself sits perfect at wheel well. It is held down by straps that is attached to the 2 D rings I installed in the forward bolts at the bed. This way its not a permanent install but pretty sturdy for when you need stuff off the floor. You can hold down basket contents with bungee cords or netting

Nice job starting out with your truck. For a "frugal" build, you've made some nice changes. I'm a sucker for small details. The FJ knob is nice.

I believe Harbor Freight have it too but I got mine from a co-worker for $40. I was gonna go with the Relentless bed bars and the Yakima Loadmaster combo but I wouldn't be sticking to my "FRUGAL" build theme if I did :D
Its Aluminum and can hold up to 500 lbs.

Those are flathead screw covers to hide the + on top of the screw, you can get them at Lowe's and come in different colors like wood grain to hide the screws on wood furniture. Just plug it in and/or enforce with superglue.
