Your silver truck with all the black highlights would look great with those rims...like you need another choice in the mix!

Hey I'm going to do my AOBswitch install this weekend and was checking out the headlight tie. Do you happen to remember which wire you tied into to get it working right?

Haven't updated in a while, mainly because I haven't had to do any work to the truck other than regular scheduled maintenance. Well, that changed about a month ago. I put a new set of tires on and shortly thereafter, noticed a growling, vibing front end. Hoping it was the new tires, I put a few thousand miles on them hoping they might smooth out with a little wear. No change. Did a tire rotation, no change. My next thought was wheel bearings, so I jacked up the truck and wiggled tires and they seemed solid. Being at just shy of 90K, I didn't rule out wheel bearings just on lack of slop in the hub. Stumped, I consulted mechanically inclined friends and family, including TacomaWorld. I had forgotten about the diff needle bearing, so I checked my drivers side CV. It had quite a bit of slop, so I ordered the ECGS bushing and puller and got that changed out yesterday. After the test drive this morning, I still have the growl, although much less of the sensation in the pedals and floorboards. I ordered a set of wheel bearing assemblies from BamaToy a week or two ago so once they arrive I'll put them in and hope the noise and sensation will cease altogether. This past week, the truck received engine air filter, cabin air filter, spark plugs, fresh redline 75W-90 in both diffs and transfer case, redline MT-90 in the 6 speed, engine oil and TRD filter and I even topped off the windshield wiper fluid. Lol. Here's a few pics:

Hub assemblies and inner seals arrived today so I got busy getting them installed, and went with a set of TRD pads and OEM rotors as well. Pretty simple job. Looking forward to a smooth ride in the morning.

The passengers side was really bad. Drivers was a little crunchy when I spun it. Surprisingly no wheel movement while the truck was on stands and tires mounted on the old hubs. But once they were off the truck and in my hand, they felt horrible when I spun them. Can't wait to go for a drive in the morning.

I just replaced the needle bearing with the ecgs clamshell bushing and new OEM brakes n rotors but I feel somewhat of growl in pedal/floorboard. I jacked the truck and no play.

Mine got bad rather quickly but I also put a lot of miles on it daily. If you remove your wheel and even your caliper and give the hub a spin with no brake drag, you should be able to feel a gritty sensation or hear a problem with the bearing.
