Ya they are nice to have. I have been a little scared that if I got a flat I would be able to jack it up hight enough. Lol

What did you do, to need to jack it up that way?

When you get your sliders you will definitely be able to jack your truck up high enough.
I was doing some donuts on a dry lake bed and hit a ditch while I was going sideways and ripped the tire right off the rim hahaha.

Dang you can't be doing that. It's rough on tires and trucks. You must have been spinning pretty fast then or big ditch. Lol

Haha yeah I will certainly be more careful next time. It was dumb mistake that could have easily been avoided! Haha yeah I was going pretty fast and it was a good sized ditch. Won't be doing that again!

Definitely a lot of bleep bleeeep bleep bleeeep!!! But it wasn't too hard to fix so it was actually pretty funny to look back on. And it gave me a little experience with fixing my truck out on the trail.

ya it is always good to get that experience.

So I was looking at your build and saw that you cut your flares 2" ish. Is it well worth it. At full flex i get a lot of rubbing.

Yeah definitely was good for me.

Yeah I cut all the fenders 2.5" and I honestly think that it helps a good amount and I really like the look of it. I first did the cab mount chop, then beat back the pinch weld on the inside of the front fender wells, then cut the fenders. I don't have any issues with rubbing so I think it's definitley worth it. I eventually want to do front fiberglass flares but for right now I really like the cut flares.

Ya I have the cab mount chops sitting on my desk ready for install but just haven't had the time to do it. I meet a guy that cut his fenders and they do look good, and your look great. I am just a little hesitant to cut my stock bumper sense I would like to sell it when I get a real bumper.

I hear ya dude! I was reluctant to do it as well but I just said screw it and went for it. Totally up to you. But it does look funky if you don't match the bumper when you cut the fenders. So if you don't think you wanna cut the bumper, I'd wait to cut the fenders or hurry and get that bumper.

Ya I agree it would like funky if I didn't match them. Ya I wish I could, but I don't have the 1200 bucks for the bumper that I want. Lol

Ya it does suck. My roommate has the apex on his first gen and another person I know has the pelfreybilt on his second gen. I am looking at the Demello with three hoop grill gaurd.

Demellos are very nice as well! Demello is actually pretty reasonably priced considering bumpers cost what they cost. I really like the full hoops as well, good choice

    Thanks man.

Ya I realy like the Demello bumper. When I still had my 4 runner I was looking at it also. The apex and pilferybilt are nice. Haven't really looked at their prices though.

Pretty snug fit for the tire but it sits perfectly under the truck.

This all came in last night:
    2 gallon gas cans x2
    First aid kit
    bed rail mount with extention

Went to go put it on last night and found out that because of my topper the mount wont work without a longer bolt and spacer for it.:(

Truck looks great! Really like your build.

One thing I had that you just got... the bed rail mount for the rotopax. I used mine for about a week and then it actually broke off when I hit a pretty minor bump in the road. Once you have two tanks full of fuel, the mount just won't hold up. Also get the locking handle if you can, I had the extension without the locking and one of my fuel tanks disappeared a few weeks ago.

Thanks man, cant get enough of the complements.

That is some good stuff to know. I guess I will try and reinforce the bracket then. Where did it end up breaking?

The bed rail mount is kinda temporary for the fuel until I get my rear bumper. Theft was kinda of a worry for me but I figure I can lock the topper if I want to. lol. But I will get the locking one when I put them on the bumper and then the first aid kit will go on the bed rail bracket.
