Why is it always snowing!?

I've owned my Tacoma for less than a week now, but I have to wonder why, on bright, sunny days like this one, does my temp/weather indicator in the mirror say it's snowing out. I thought maybe it was just sensing dirt on the windshield, but even running the wipers doesn't make it go away.

Does anybody elses do this, or am I alone, forever cursed to a wintery hell.

It is just letting your know that there could be ice on the roads.

Yep. That's why I turned mine off, I know water freezes at 32 degrees Fahrenheit.

Thank you.
Sorry i don't know about the temp icons on the new models, couldn't pass up commenting on the "wintery hell" comment. But as you've seen, lots of people here with a bunch of information regarding EVERYTHING.
