As I said , I like the thing . Hey , if he spent the 6k on a wrap to protect his truck I can't blame him , my '08 is starting to get nicked up from idiots in parking lots despite having the wrap on door bottoms/edges . People are just ignorant and I prefer to keep mine really nice if I can . If they want to open a door into the old Cruiser , let 'em and I'll just laugh . They'd be lucky to chip the paint and likely do some serious damage to their vehicle anyway .

I am curious - are there any of the rock rails/step bars that actually protect the body sides enough to warrant installing them ? I mean stuff like idiot humans in parking lots , don't really wheel mine other than some nasty job sites and the wrap that's on it now protects the paint pretty well from rocks/mud . It's the middle area of the doors that takes a hit from other cars .

BTW- great pics and scenery , need more of that ! What is the next step in the build ?

$6K. Wow. I can't get my head around the fact that someone spent $6,000 dollars on some fancy plastic wrap.

To all the members out there saying good on the OP or who cares it's his money, f the haters, come on now.

He spent close to 20% of the total purchase price of the truck on some f'n plastic wrap.

Put a frigin ATV in the back of the bed for that price!

To sum it up I guess I'm a hater.

If I spent that much money on a film, I would hope the people on this forum would lean into me and ask why.

Yeah, and he's stated why he wanted the film and justified why he spent HIS money on it . Drop it already , if you don't like the price , don't buy it - but why hate on someone that in their opinion feel it's worth the purchase ? C'mon , we all spend coin on things that others think might be a bit nuts ....right ?

Love the truck OP, congratulations! As to all the people hating on the wrap I'm sure they're all in my boat "Damn I wish I had the money to do that when I bought my truck new, I'll just hate on him because he could and I couldn't" haha. Looks like you're enjoying it and glad to see you're making it your own with the mods!

Yep, even the "poverty" truck comments. TW is a little snappy today. Must be that time of the month

Hey all I can say is agreed as well that $6,000.00 could have been spent on better things. It is a truck not Cinderella's Horse Drawn Carriage. But hey to each his own.

Me too, if i had 6k for "parts" it would have gone to a supercharger or LT kit myself. Now if i had 12k... then we could talk about a wrap too.. buuut I would probably end up with a 4-link. I don't have that kind of cash so it's all talk at this point anyways haha.

Either way, i think it's awesome that he has years worth of paint protection as long as it doesn't get chew up from rocks or tree branches.

I had it on a car I had. It peels, dries out, and if it is hit good enough from branches or kicked up rocks. It will put a gouge in it and have to be peeled off and fixed. But like I said to each their own. To me it is money down the toilet.

And throw a little Blackfire paint sealant on it FTMW. It is not going to help with resale value. My last truck had about 10,000 worth of mods. And it did nothing for the trade, so I took them all out and sold them
