The clear bra is pretty sick, but you could get your entire truck fully repainted for about that much. You are right though, you'd have to put up with the scratches until its time to repaint. With the bra, it seems it will stay squeaky clean! Nice truck. Love the color.

Second mod for the truck, my personal version of a fog light mod. I'm an automotive electrician so figuring this stuff out is what I do for a living. I wanted my fog lamps to be driver controlled by the switch when any of my lights were on including parking lights and not shut off with the high beams. However if I leave the switch on and turn off my lights during the day, the fog lamps would not be on. Think I should post it up as a how to?

Same pole as the 2012+ fog lamp mod (bottom left pole)

Run the wire through the factory hole so you don't have to make any potential water leaks in the fuse cover

I say the same thing sometimes, but luckily for me, this was a purchase made after lots of saving and planning.

A proper paint job for a pearl like this from a professional painter would for sure run more than 6k. I paid that a few years ago getting a silver 4 door car painted and it wasn't as good as the factory paint.

I can see everyone's point about spending that much when a paint job isn't much more, but also with that comes dealing with the few scratches at a time where with this the idea is no scratches at all ever.

Never thought I'd get this much crap about protecting a limited edition run. I figured I would get some brownie points for saying that I WILL still be taking this off road and it won't be a road/garage queen.

All this hate about the wrap. I like it man, kuddos for keeping it mint for long term. I would have a hard time dropping that much cash but it very inspiring. Well done buddy. Beautiful truck.

Don't mind some of the people on here. It's your truck and feel free to do with it what you want. People on here are quick to tell others how they should spend their money.

Great looking truck and Welcome

I see the tow hitch. Did you get the actual Toyota Tow Package? Pretty good find on a TRD pro inferno if ya did. The one here in KC didnt have it. The clear wrap looks pretty professional. I know its around $300 here just to get the front 8 inches of your hood with a clear bar. Keep that paint looking good for years.

    Few things working against you:
    1. Limited edition or not, there seems to be a high number of people here who dislike the Pro due to it's mark up for what you're getting.

    2. You say off-road protection, but gravel and twigs are also not considered off-road to some people on here. One whack against a tree, one tight corner in a rut, or coming down on a rock to the side of the truck, and that bra will offer no protection from the assured dent/damage.

    3. It's $6,000 to protect paint. Which is a substance that protects metal from the elements. Hard to convince a non car enthusiast that paint is a big deal, when it's easily fixed. $6,000 goes a long way in truck mods to spend it on something you can't see or feel.

Personally, I don't care either way. I just like the scroll through the pictures and dream.

Keep doing what you're doing. As long as you're happy with the truck is all that matters. You'll eventually see that anything short of running your truck through Baja and then through Moab the next week will catch flack from the "elite" here. Best to just ignore them.

Nice Truck! Yep, agree with the non A-holes in this thread - it's your truck and your life - do what you want.

When I bought my Baja I spent $800 on a full detail that included G-Techniq on my wheels, and $750 on Wet Okole seat covers - I also want to protect my investment as I plan on keeping my Baja as long as I possibly can, especially after seeing the new 2016's = don't like 'em, but that's just me.

Highly recommend WeatherTech floor liners and an OEM Bed Mat as well as an after market Skid Plate - I went with the TRD OEM Skid, as it covers a huge area under the front bumper that is exposed by the factory skid. This will protect your radiator from rock damage [even from just street driving]. I won't be doing any serious off-roading thou, just light stuff.

    Enjoy your truck and congrats!

    Very cool looking truck.

I dig the fog light mod. I may have to rewire my Baja's fog lights now.

Congrats on the beauty truck and welcome to TW!

Can't say I would have spent my $$ the same way you did but then again, a decade from now your paint will look showroom fresh while mine will be 15 years old and showing it, different strokes for different folks :D.

Kudos for knowing what you want and taking steps towards keeping it that way, Wet Okle/weathertechs/OEM bed mat next on your list?

Nice truck, I think it's good that you want to protect it. People do the same and buy extended warranties and sometimes spend more than $6k on add ons or even worse financing cost in form of interest on their loans...which gives them nothing- not even protection lol

Well I do charge 6K for installing a full Porsche clearbra in Xpel Ultimate, so I guess I am in the right price range. I applaud you for doing the full truck. Invest in some Xpel sealant gel and cleaner to keep the PPF looking its best. Looking good though!
