Speaking of racks...check out this stud I found today. Been trying to teach my dog to find sheds. He found one Monday, then walked right by this today...

Edit: looks to be in the 130's guessing on spread. Not bad for this area.

Nice! Gonna powdercoat, paint or neither? I wish I had some install pics for you, but i was WAY nervous and completely spaced on taking any pics. Let me know how it goes and throw some finished shots up.

It's already powder coated the same as the rest of my armor. Did you drop the headliner edges to ensure you didn't drill into the side curtain airbags or just carefully drilled into the roof?

Glad i could help hope it works out  Sorry it took so long. Every tailgate is different you may have to work with it a bit to get it to fit well. I made one for a buddy of mine and his was a little tight. Should bolt right up though

    A couple tips:
    - Definitely drop headliner, It's really tight in there.
    - If i had to do it again i would predrill a small hole and use a unibit
    - Seal it REALLY REALLY well, use RTV silicone or something of that nature
    (ask me how i know)
    - Shoot some silicone down the plasnuts before sending the bolts home
    - tape up your roof with newspaper to protect it
    - have a shop vac handy for shavings

Im sure you are but look through zach's thread. There are some good tips in there too. It has been a while since my install but if i think of anything else ill let you know.

Not much going on with the truck the past couple weeks. Pricing a bunch of things out and making a long list of stuff I need to get together before my Pelfrey armor comes in.

Did do a couple things though and I'll post pics later when I get ahold of some.

    1. Trailer relocate bracket - used some scrap around the shop. Not as high as I would like but it'll do for now.

    2. Finished CB install - Skygear helped me out with using a switch blank for "plug and play" look

    3. Painted grill matte black. It was gray before.

Sort of. I sold it but have another on order. Got tired of not having windoors. Had a chance to make a little money of the shell I had so I went for it. New one is due in a couple weeks.

Good looking rig! Curious stupid question about the afe drop in air filter. I saw on a couple websites say that they were for 2005-2009. I assume they didnt change the airbox after 2009, but not sure wanted to ask someone who has one.

Edit- to answer your question, I don't think they changed it but mine from AA was listed for 2014.

Very nice build, I saw you ordered a Pelfreybilt front bumper and was just curious if you found any other options for the 20" light bar?

Unfortunately I didn't find any that would work without modification. Really wanted to go with heretic but ended up just going RI for ease.

Gave her a much needed cleaning today. Wash, clay, polish, wax. So smooth. Already covered in dust and pollen though...
    image.jpg

Also replaced my Amazon ditch lights with SR-Qs. I like the lower profile.

Mounted my 60" hilift. Thing is a beast.
