I do a lot of my own maintenance like many other members here. I made this list of regular maintenance parts/notes for myself and others to use as a quick reference guide. Hopefully it comes in handy for someone. What you see below is what I personally use in my Tacoma.

    2013 Toyota Tacoma - Regular Cab - 4x4 - 2.7L

Engine Oil: Mobil 1 Synthetic (0W-20)

NOTE #1: The approximate quantity of oil needed to raise the level between low and full on the dipstick is indicated as follows: 2.7 L 4-cylinder (2TR-FE) engine: 1.4 qt.

NOTE #2: 2.7 L 4-cylinder (2TR-FE) engine: 6.1 qt. *The engine oil capacity is a REFERENCE quantity to be used when exchanging. Warm up and turn off the engine, wait more than 5 minutes, and check the oil level on the dipstick. I use only 5.5 quarts with a filter change.

Oil Filter: Toyota OEM Filter – Part #: 90915-YZZG2

    • Hand Tight

Oil Drain Plug Gasket: FREE AT LOCAL DEALERSHIP

    • Drain Plug Torque Specification: 28 ft. lbs.

Front Differential Oil: Mobil 1 75W-90

    • Fill Plug Torque Specification: 29 ft. lbs.
    • Drain Plug Torque Specification: 48 ft. lbs.

Rear Differential Oil: Mobil 1 75W-90

    • Fill Plug Torque Specification: 36 ft. lbs.
    • Drain Plug Torque Specification: 36 ft. lbs.

Transfer Case Oil: Mobil 1 75W-90

    • Fill Plug Torque Specification: 27 ft. lbs.
    • Drain Plug Torque Specification: 27 ft. lbs.

Spark Plugs (4): Toyota OEM Spark Plugs – Part #: 90919-01266

    • Spark Plug Torque Specification: 13 ft.lbs.
    • Ignition Coil Bolt Torque Specification: 6.7 ft. lbs.

Air Filter: Toyota OEM Filter – Part #: 17801-0C040

Cabin Filter: Toyota OEM Filter – Part #: 87139-YZZ09

Drive-line Grease: Lucas Red "N" Tack Grease
    • 4 Zerk fittings for RC Tacoma (One piece drive shaft)
    • 5 Zerk fitting for AC and DC Tacoma

Steering Wheel Controls & Cruise Control

I decided I wanted the radio/bluetooth/hands-free controls for my steering wheel and cruise control. Here is a detailed list of the parts I needed. Hopefully someone with a regular cab (2012+) can find this useful.
Steering Wheel Controls (Black): QTY (1)
    • Part #: 84250-04040-C0 (Steering Pad)
    • PRICE: $97.82
Bolts and Washers for mounting cruise control stalk: QTY (2)
    • Part #: 90080-15079 (Screw, W/Washer)
    • PRICE: $0.59 (x2)
Wire (cable) from cruise control stalk to spiral cable: QTY (1)
    • Part #: 84633-0E020 (Wire, Cruise Switch)
    • PRICE: $12.12
    Cruise control stalk: QTY (1)
Cruise control cover plate for side of steering wheel: QTY (1)
    • Part #: 45186-04030-B0 (Cover, Steering Wheel)
    • PRICE: $3.65
    Spiral Cable: QTY (1)
    • Part #: 84306-48030 (SUPERSEDED BY: 84306-0E010)
    • PRICE: $209.50

NOTE: Here is a fantastic write-up done by one of the members here. Write-up by "weldo"

NOTE: Following the above write-up for our regular cabs is exactly the same except you won't have to de-pin any connectors (Assuming your regular cab has no cruise control installed from the factory - which it shouldn't). It is all simply plug and play.

So wait. Those aren't metal bed rails?
(forgive me I didn't have coffee this morning)

Did you get new metal ones made or just do the line-x spray where the plastic was?

Really liking your build. I have the same model expect different color. I am looking into doing the Steering Wheel Controls & Cruise Control mods. How did it work out for you? Do all the controls work or did you have to do some additional wiring to make them all work?

So I bought all the parts listed and installed them a few weeks ago. I didn't test to see if my truck was pre-wired for either the cruise or steering wheel controls so I just "went for it". I found out it wasn't pre-wired after it was all said and done because nothing worked. I still have to get get in contact with Rostra and ********* to get everything completed and working. Unfortunately, I like to skip around from project to project so nothing ever gets done lol. I'll update the parts list and add pictures once everything is completed and working.
