Forget glass, get some cardboard and a sharpie...way cheaper.

I try and watch as many car shows as I can, and that's what I see many of the pros use to mock up their stuff.

Sorta. I don't have a work bench yet so I nomally use my tailgate as one and I'd set it at the end and clamp it down and then slowly walk to the end hanging off the edge and jump on it until I got it to the angle I wanted  (I've done it before)

ohh yah, i'm really lucky to have access to all these tools. it makes things a lot easier

I got the front mounts tacked into place, so now I just have to drill some holes, then line up the back spacers and I'm good.

    Sickness...awsome dude

What are you going to do to it, paint, PC or bed lining?

If I had it to do over again, I would bed line mine instead of paint. Just get some of the roll on from ace and go at it. Either way truck is looking sick!

Yah, thats what I would have done. but my parents offered to pay to get it powder coated, so I was thinking like a silver-ish or dark gray color. I really like the look of the raw steel on black, so I want to paint it a color that still looks similar. But I might use bed liner on the inside of it or the winch plate to protect it better. But I havn't really decided yet.

I roller bedlined all my skids and it was a pain. The paint doesnt roll on too well, and it rusted really easily. I redid all my skids with duplicolor rust tough primer and always keep a can in hand, and it works perfectly. If you want it to look pretty, get the base coat instead of primer but just stick with the rust tough stuff. After off roading, I just stick a cardboad in front of factory paint to prevent overspray, wipe off dust, sand off rust, and spray it down real good.

Matt, Powder coat scratches easy too, keep some rattle cans in hand at all times, IMO

    new updates:

blue sea fuse box has been installed. mostly... i just need to pick up a big inline fuse, and then it's done.

also waiting on my bumper to get painted so hopefully i'll have that done tomorrow.

i also got bored and cut a sick stencil of a tank and sprayed that onto the skid plate.....it looks pretty bad ass.

and other then that, i'm just saving up for my next set of mods.

something a long the lines of

    bigger off road lights
    on board air
    winch
sliders (probly gunna be home made)
T-case skid (i want to re-work the exhaust so it can be flat....also home made)

not in that order, but those are on the short term buy list

Looks good..... I like the work on the skid plate. Do you have any background in metal work or are you just trying to make it yourself?
