I know where you live. I have a friend that still lives there. She drives a black dodge charger with 22" black wheels. I am not kidding. HAHA.

    Thank you.

Sweet. The rattle cans are like $8 each, you can buy it from Home Depot or Wal Mart.

    Thanks Roy.

Nice. I think I've seen the charger.

    Thanks Conner.

It was hard to get pics of all the trucks, especially at Lowe's. I kept taking pics as more and more Tacomas kept pulling up. It was awesome to see over 40 trucks on the trail.

The truck did great, the KM2s made all the difference! There were times I know I could have spun the rear tires, the KM2s kept clawing its way up. However, I did notice the lost in power, with the 33s I have to regear soon to be ready for the next trail run (who knows when that will be?)

I bought some 4.10 gears from a TTORA member a few months back, it has been patiently waiting to be installed.

I will be going with 4.10s. 4.10 will be bring my truck within 'factory specs'.
I don't plan on locking it now. But maybe sometime down the road I will lock it.

    My tentative plan for MODs:

    • beginning of Oct. get 4.10s installed
    • January 2011, buy this complete mid-travel kit (excluding the AAL)
    • I also plan on getting the Deavers re-arched to lift the rear.

I sold them a few months back to Jefferson. I am unsure if I want to lock the rear yet. If anything I want to finish my front and rear suspension before I decide to lock the back.

I will be running the mid-travel kit from TC. You can re-gear and get lock at the same time. A locker would definitely help on the trails. But regear my truck will also help because I will be gaining some low end torque, which will help on the trails.

Fat Bob's 2.75'' lift, on Cooper ATR 30x9.5x15, AFE Pro Dry S Filter, Secondary air filter removed, no mud flaps, cut exhaust, armor lid tonneau cover.
Hey new to the forum I was just wondering, Neslerrah I've been reading your posts because your truck is closest to mine, and what I want my to be, I just have with less mods, oh and your truck is sick! I just put on Fat Bob's lift last week and now my passenger side strut is leaking:eek: I have about 60k on my truck is that normal, how much was on your truck when yours went out. I know stock struts are cheap but just wondering, I'm thinking of replacing with Bilsteins like the part numbers you gave on your build or KYB struts. how long did you drive on the busted strut, funds are kinda tight. Thanks

I probably had about 76k on my truck when I installed the kit, and the strut blew after (close to 78k).

I rode about 2 weeks with the bad strut. It took 4WP about a week to get the shocks from Bilstein. After I received the strut, I installed them that same weekend.

I suggest replacing the front strut with an aftermarket strut. There is not a good selection for us 5 lugs, so IMO, you should replace the struts with Bilstein. I have not had any issues with mine, I now they have taken a few beating, and they still ride great. :mudding:

BTW, I have no experience with KYB struts, so I can not comment on them.

    Also, welcome to TW
