It all started with the Bug Deflector which was installed 2 days after I got the truck. About a week after that, I got the Toyota 3 fold soft Tonneau Cover. And about 2 weeks after that I installed the Toyota Class III hitch and wire harness.

Here, I towed my damn 05 Jetta 1.8t 700km, or 440mi to the nearest VW dealer to get the turbo/tranny replaced under warranty.

Next, the Interco Trxus M/T's were installed. Had to go take a few poser shots with the new tires!:D

The rims are getting painted black (by the body shop) in the spring!

I then put in the Procomp 3" leveling kit. This had the spacers for the front, the front differential drop, and the AAL's for the rear end.

This weekend I will be doing my Satoshi Grille... Think I have everything I need - but I guess I'll find out! Also installing the Pop & Lock tomorrow too!
    123456.jpg
Cut the centre out of the grille... and got it taped up from the inside, applied the fiberglass, and once it had started to harden, I trimmed the excess off. (I made sure the top line of the tape was where I wanted the fiberglass to end!

While waiting for the glass to dry, I relocated the horn behind the battery, and painted the rad area with high heat paint!

Used Bondo next to fill in, and sanded off - ended up doing 2 coats. Covered chrome in painters tape, and did 4 coats of Sandable primer - sanding between coats. Did 3 coats of flat black - and then did a wet sand, followed by 3 more coats.

Attached grille with zip ties, and installed the Emblem. Bolted everything back to the truck!

I've got a set of FJ predator bars getting modified to fit the truck, and they should be installed next weekend. And I've ordered the fog lights for the front bumper...

Trying to decide between a bull bar, or the nfab bar... Concerned that the nfab with 4 700's may cover up too much of my satoshi... and we can't have that!

I do have a Cobra Cb, and 1.5' mag mount cobra antenna... have the cb wired up to an old 12v cell charger as I havent found the right spot to mount the cb yet. Also need to mock up an aluminum mount somewhere on the dash for my Garmin Gps.

We're currently sold out of Tacomas again at the dealership - so as soon as we have another pyrite sr5 in stock, I hope to get some comparison shots as well!!

Any thoughts, comments or suggestions are welcome! :D

    Cheers,
    Dave

ok - so the truck sold back in February - as my wife needed a vehicle to car-pool with. Since then I've picked up a 94MR2 that I brought in from Japan.

The newest project hit the driveway a week ago... a 93 toyota pick-up

I've since cut out all of the rust from the box!
