That is one way to incorrectly drop a truck, yes lol

So, those silvery tails sucked at life.

Here they are with the stupid silver on them.

Then I thought, hmm, I'll leave the reverse lights silver! Yes I could have done a better job of lining up the tape, but who doesn't drink on sunday afternoon...

Testors Candy Red. It says to use a silver or copper or gold base coat before the red, so I figured I'm good to goooooo.

Here they are drying, pics of them installed after clear coat later.

Drying some more, without the tape, looking good!

Installed, took a couple pics out at Fiesta Island.

love your truck, but im still undecided on the tails, they may grow on me. i think the look kinda out of place seeing as how its the only red (or color) on your truck besides silver/chrome and black. i think some aftermarkets with clear senses and chrome or black insides would be sexxxxxyyy on that rig.

I like the LED red/clears except for the bubble in the middle.

Tinting them black is out of the question for me, because it's been done to death and police in CA are not hesitant or lenient on that issue.

Tinting them silver on the other hand, would be the sex. But, I imagine the police would think otherwise lol

Suspension work started today.

Thanks to Brian of STREETACOS.

The driver's side frame, with bump stop mount.

The passenger's side frame, with no bump stop mount.

Rear diff/axle before relocation of the upper tab and the tab holding the ABS line on passenger's side.

Relocated that tab so it won't be close to the exhaust after the drop.

Rear diff/axle after relocation of the 2 tabs. There is a zip tie holding the ABS line to the hardline because exhaust heat has melted the plastic clip and some of the shielding on the brake lines.

Chopped the exhaust off to get room to work, dropped the axle as well.

Supporting the bed with a block of wood and reducing bed sag as the truck is entirely on jack stands. The bed sags about 1" with no support.

Beefed cutting the frame.

The frame is now cut, and the forward hole is cut and will be filled in with weld. The factory frame hole on the top of the notch will be filled in as well.
You are looking at the passenger side.

Filler plate for the box, taken before the notch was removed from this plate.

Outiside of the notch. The factory holes were filled in. A bumpstop plate will be added to the top shortly.

Boxed the inside of the frame.

...and the bottom of the notch.

New low-pro bump stops and bump stop bracket.

All welded in place.

Painted.

Notching is complete!

All fabrication by Brian at Streetacos.com. Thanks Brian!

DJM front arms went on this weekend. I'm pretty happy with how the truck sits now.
