I own a 2005 tacoma prerunner Trd sport model and was thinking of adding a rear diff locker, need to find out which lockers are the best for my 05 taco trd sport. the truck already comes with a limited slip diff and mainly looking for clutchless lockers and there are so many of them in the market. how are the Toyota Elockers ?? and would they work on the 05 Tacoma prerunner Trd sport model without any modifications?..
Would appriciate any help or comments, thanks in advance...

Unless you want to do a axel swap from a TRD offroad, ARB is the way to go, Its not cheap tho

    HI
thanks for clearing that up for me, the ARB that you mentioned i have heard a lot about and you`re right they`re not that cheap, however the ARB`s are mainly air lockers and not sure how good the air compressor might last as far as air leakage...
Does ARB also make selectable electric lockers ??
In general do lockers make that much of a difference as far as getting out of some rough spots on a 4x2 prerunner ??
thanks again, would appriciate any advice or comments..

Yea, ARB's are air lockers, I havent had any problems with my compressor, I have had a hole in my air line but it was an easy 10 min fix. The only E-Locker I know of is TRD. The TRD sport have a 8.4" rear end and the TRD offroad has an 8" so the only way to go with an E-locker is to do an axel swap, There are other lockers out there you can look into.
I dont dont see the point of adding a locker to a 2 wheel drive truck, Your LSD would be fine for as much as you can do with 2 wheel drive, I know theres guys an here pushing there prerunners to the limit.
