A lot less friction on the ground equals lees work for the engine. Have a fuul load and put 300 miles on the 285-70-17's seems to work fine.

No wheel spacers, no re-gear, I'm on a trip and have climbed some real steep grades and did some trail runs and it all worked great. The wheels I have are the stock alloys from my 2007 FJ.

how bad did the mileage suffer with the 285's? i noticed a huge difference just going up to 265/75's...around 3mpg.

As soon as BajaRack builds the rack for the shell I'm going to try to configure it for only awnings and for the use of a roof top tent also.

I wish I would have had time to get the Scepter water and fuel cans to finish the rear out.

really like the build. What did you do for rear lift? looks a little lower than the front. Ive been contemplating ome dakar leaf pack.

Looks awesome. Do you have a mpg number yet?

The front and rear are the Icon remote resevoir coil overs and shocks. the rear has Icon's add a leaf. I need the truck to be level, so after I outfit it with all of my gear we will adjust it to level. I might need to get a spring pack due to the weight I'm going to add. I'll give the MPG a check on the way back down 395. Thanks for all of the compliments.
