Outgolfing's Build / 06 DC prerunner

Okay, picked this truck up last week and the build is starting. Im starting this thread now since I just ordered some of my mods. Here is a picture of the truck in the before stage and a list of what is on order and will be put on within 2 weeks.

Front suspension : Bilstein 5100's (will be set at 2.5)

Rear suspension : 1" block spacer and 1.5" Wheelers AAL

Wheels: FJ TRD anthracite 16" wheels (big thanks to my local dealer on this one, matched a online price that was a killer deal!)

Tires: Have not decided on a size yet, gotta hit the wheel/tire forum to research what will fit correctly. I think Ill be going with 285/75/16's if they will fit.


Thats it for now, Im headed out to the garage to fix my direction/temp display.

 

those tires will fit, you will just have to do some cutting

 

Did a few things today. Did the overhead temp/compass fix, debadged all the emblems except the Tacoma ones, and removed the giant mudflaps. Ill get a updated picture tomorrow in the sunlight. Thanks to TW for the "how to" threads.

 

Did the CHLM tonight. Here is a picture of it. Still waiting on a nicer day to get a picture of the debadged tailgate and doors. Went ahead and also took the Tacoma emblems off also. Only two days till the lift gets here, not sure when the TRD FJ's are coming though...pic will be coming though.
