    If you are running this wire to a 2nd battery than you will want a fuse as close to the positive terminal as you can on both batteries. If this wire is just running back to power some lights or something, you only need 1 fuse near the battery's positive terminal again.

    I was just following instructions of this guys build thread on the dual battery

    But he states :
    "You don't necessarily need to use the in-line 200 Amp fuses. The instructions don't call for them. But the national luna kit does include them. The idea is that if the solenoid craps out, or if there is a short in one of the positive cables, the fuse will blow, preventing a fire. The 200amp fuse is sturdy enough to allow for self jumping. The fuses should be placed as close to the batteries as possible."

    I would fuss it on both ends to protect from any short in positive battery cable to ground.

    ok that is what i bought. I just want to make sure so i don't screw crap up. I was also thinking of make quick disconnect jumper cables would i need a fuse on that line?

    Never though about jump pack but seem you have to charge them once in while. When you need it is not charged.

    I only recharge mine about every 4 months if it doesn 't get used
