So im doing the black headlight mod and im nervous as hell

    4Runner- wagoneer Dana 44 front lunchbox locker. Rear stock axle spooled. Beadlocks and 36s 3link rear, leaf front, dual transfer cases 1980 pickup- exo cage. Locked front and rear on 40s dual transfer cases. Custom paint job
    headlight is in the oven right now any tips?

    Not much......college student using the GI Bill to survive.
    Don't be, good luck and let me know how it goes cause I want to do mine too. As I have read, most people here say it's looks and sounds harder than it actually is.

    Its cake from here dude. as long as you dont melt the housing in the oven youre good.

    assuming youre following a guide in a thread, then you should be good. When they come outta the oven wear mechanix gloves or something because theyll be hot!

    they should pull apart like butter too. post pics and questions if you have any. I have completed this at least 5 times going back and fourth between the chrome, black and white.

    thanks everyone. the first one is apart and first layer of paint is on and it wasnt too too bad but getting them too seal good is the tricky part i hear.
    The second one is going in the oven right now

    ok two questions everyone. i read that you should wait overnight to put them back together because people have had problems with the lens fogging from the fumes or can i just put it back together once dry?

    and two should i put the whole thing back into the oven two melt the glue back together or use a hairdryer because im not sure wat the oven will do to the paint?

    hmmm well i used krylon but im thinkin im just gonna put it in the oven and not wait overnight cuz i wanna get it together
