Ive searched and searched but cant get the exact answer I need. So I'm running Wheelers 16x8's and when I first put them on, I took my 1" spacer off and realized the wheels were rubbing on the caliper so I put the 1" spacers back on the front. I looked around and decided to get the 1/4" spacers from wheelers to avoid rubbing without shaving the caliper, and got the et lugs. Go to find the et lugs dont fit in the lug holes. So I figure extended studs are the best bet. After looking around and talking to arp, the IS300 studs are probably my best bet, but they are an inch longer than stock. I dont wanna bottom out the lug before tightening the wheel down so should I just get open ended lugs? Or does anyone have any idea if I can get a stander lug all the way on(would like to get gorilla lugs)? Also is there any better options out there as far as studs? Thanks for the help

This is as far as the ET stud will go into the lug hole

I think you will be better off with your bolt on spacers. I constantly had problems with my ARP studs. They worked fine at first, but once I had taken my wheel off a few times they began to slip and lose there bite. I find that the ARP knurl (at the bottom) of the stud is a bit smaller then the ones we have on our stock wheel studs.

The spacers wouldnt be a problem, but they are lug centric and the steering wheel shims around 65mph. And with the BS of the wheels, they stick out about 2" past the fender.

To the OP (dad32509) what is the length of the lug in the above picture that isn't deep enough? Specifically what is the depth of the lug? I'm facing a similar situation. I want to replace my studs with something stronger and longer (better then the OEM crap). I'm wondeirng if gorilla makes a longer/deaper lug? Have you checked with them?

Did you think about using the shorter ARP studs for the Celica (100-7718) at 2.340" long vice the longer Lexus IS 300 studs (100-7715) at 2.60" long? Would the .26" difference be enough?

Is anyone running the ARP lexus studs? If so what lugs are you using and on what wheels?
