Agreed, the mod is unique and most have to earn it through fabrication. IMHO.

I totally understand where you guys are coming from.
This thread is really a feeler to see who would be interested so I have an idea of a total amount for a production run.
And that is also dependent on what it would cost to produce. If I can't have them made & offer them for a reasonable price I obviously won't do it.
I'll know more by the end of next week.:D

I may be in for this. I've been wanting to do the Satoshi for awhile but don't trust myself for it to come out 100% perfect. I have seen a few in-person and some of them look really bad!

Your piece would still require cutting out the original grille, right?

I respectfully disagree. It will still be unique because it's not stock and there still will have to be some work done to change the insert and add the grille.

Have you seen the 2011? There are a zillion holes that have to be filed. It was a nightmare. I even had to bondo the corners. Try sanding that smooth. It sucked and doesn't look that good close up.

What all those guys who bought theirs on eBay or from someone from this forum, they didn't earn it.

So anything to help make this mod easier with a better result is more than welcome IMHO. Plus it will probably be cheaper than buying $100 worth of toxic chemicals and materials to do the mod in the first place. Those are brain cells I'll never get back.

    No, it would not...
The stock grill is constructed of two pieces of plastic that are heat welded (melted) together.
The only requirement would be to separate the two, then switch out the inner piece. You could then add whatever mesh you choose.
