Does this filter need to be oiled?

    Thanks...

I just purchased an AFE intake off of Craiglist and it came with an oiled filter opposed to the dry. What's odd is that the flange size on the intake is 4" compared to 5.5" that is commonly found on the TRD and other AFE intakes I have seen.
