    SOLD!!!

I've got a Hunter grille guard I'd looking to get rid of. It's stainless steel and I've swapped all the visible mounting hardware to stainless also. Out of the box this thing shakes pretty bad but I've added an additional cross member to support the guard and it's pretty stable, even on rough roads.

One of the cross members has a broken weld (see the thread below).
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/177187-hunter-grille-guard.html

Brand new this thing cost me $350 and I spend almost $50 in replacing the hardware with stainless steel nuts, bolts and washers. I had to break some of the bolts to get this thing off so there is some missing hardware. I still have the broken bolts so you can match them for replacement.

$200 if you want it fixed, all hardware replaced and ready to bolt on your truck or will sell as-is. If you want this repaired, I will have it welded by a reputable local shop that specializes in stainless steel fabrication. PM me if you'd like the name of the shop I'd use. If you'd prefer to buy as-is, please PM me an offer. Would prefer to sell local, I live about an hour west of Boston, just south of the Pike and commute to Cambridge daily.

I would be open to partial trades also. Specifically, I'm looking for an OEM FJ Cruiser light switch (would take a Tacoma one also) but would be open to other Tacoma stuff or tools that are either truck or home related.

Pics on the truck (lights are not being sold, grille guard only):

grill guard looks real sharp, I was reading that post that you had put up, so did hunter ever take care of the welding issue? or is it still like the photos that you posted before

It's sitting in my garage, still broken for the time being. Hunter was actually very helpful and offered to fix it if I ship the center piece to them. No other questions were asked and they would either repair the piece or replace it and pay for return shipping. The problem is, they're in TX and I have a good relationship with the stainless fabricator up here so for the same money as the shipping costs, I can get it repaired locally.

In my book though, Hunter customer service was very helpful and stood behind their product.

I honestly haven't given a whole lot of thought to it, I just threw this up to gauge interest since grille guards don't seem to be overly popular with this crowd. I guess I'd start the bidding at $125 unrepaired but would be open to reasonable offers since it will save me some time picking up hardware and taking it to the shop.

could you tell me how much it would cost to have it shipped to hunter in texas? because I was thinking, if I purchased it, you could ship it to them, and then they could ship it to me, because either way it would have to be shipped, and then it would also be fixed for free.

Here's the catch with that idea. It's about $30 - 40 (according to Hunter, I have not confirmed this with UPS or Fed-Ex) to have just the center piece shipped to TX without the side guards, mounting brackets and hardware. If I shipped it to TX, they only want the center piece that's broken so there'd be a second box that would have to be sent from me to you that would more than likely have the same if not higher shipping charges that would contain the side pieces, hardware, brackets and packaging to keep things from banging into each other and potentially ruining the finish on the stainless. Not a bad option but would take some running around on my part to get quotes for shipping.

This is of course assuming Hunter would return ship to a different address which I would imagine they would have no problem doing.

thanks for your time pugga, no need to get quotes right now on my account, I was really set on a bull bar, because I wanted to stay away from the "offroad" look, but I really liked your stainless brush guard, i'll let u know if I have any other questions.
