I've got a few items I'd like to sell on here but I'm wondering how most people go about making the payment transaction. Do most use Paypal?

    Thanks.

Please pardon my ignorance, but could someone explain how to use Paypal as a seller. I've got a Paypal account but I've only used it as a buyer.

All you need to do is to give your Paypal account email address to the buyer.

You won't be able to file a dispute as a buyer. Since it was a "gift"

Be sure you collect the money before you send out the product. Lol I made the mistake of trying to be generous and give away a free badge if some one paid shipping. I sent it to a member on here before I collected the money and he never sent me any payment. Lol it was only $5 but still kind of a dick move.

paypal charges you a small amount (a few cents) just to keep the site goin, and if you send it as a gift it avoids the few cents charge but there is no way to pursue the money if somebody steals from you.

I use paypal & have taken checks too here on TW.
After being on here a while there are folks I send $ to upfront like I did just recently for the item was being ordered.
I have sent parts to TW members while the check is in the mail so to speak.
This is after getting to know they here though close to 5 yrs.
Just remember to price your item accordingly accounting for shipping, fees from paypal and if they pay you with a credit card.
    Fees and shipping add up.
    GLWS!! :)

Some prefer usps or other money orders but that is the slow boat because you have to send it and they have to receive it before sending you the goods. Then you don't have the 30 day dispute protection from using paypal and/or the 45 day dispute thing with whatever cc backs up your paypal acct. Those money order people are usually few and far between one off sale things tho. No vendors or big GB sale people use them. I have bought that way before but don't really like doing it. Have been lucky.

If you have any question about a person you are dealing with, low post or new to site and not much history you might use a United States Postal Service Money Order.
If there is any problem the Postal Service plays hardball with Interstate fraud.

Yeah but with postal stuff going bankrupt and all, how long of a pain in the ass process would that turn into?

I never have and never would do anything other than small potato purchase that way, 40 or less. I would never sell that way either.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
I only take PayPal or cash if your local I don't deal with checks or money orders. it's too much of a pain. I factor in the fees in my prices so it's no big deal.
