Did the red myself. Used rustoliem paints. Masking is a PITA. Just used a green scuffing pad after I masked it to rough up the surface. Then 2 primer coats and 2 top coats.

the red looks great! thinking of doing mine like that.
Just wondering...has anyone else with one of these skids had any problems with the powder coat? I washed my truck today and noticed that the powder coat was peeling off along the edge...anyone else experience this?

I actually have this on mine. Some of the older skid plates weren't cleaned well enough so the powder coat wasn't adhering as well as it should have. I have now rectified this mistake and have taken the necessary precautions so that the newer versions won't have this problem. If you notice this happening touch it up with some paint to seal it back up.
