Are the hookups/wiring already in my plain console?

Tunajoe, a console for an 09 and up Tacoma will not function in a 05-08 Tacoma. You must us a console from a 05-08 Tacoma.
While the consoles look identical Toyota changed the internal workings of the 09 and up consoles.

Most 6 lugged wheel Tacoma's are pre-wired for the temp/compass console.
You need to verify that the wiring for the outside sensor is present. It is usually tucked up under the left (drivers side) headlight. The outside sensor mounts on the center support behind the grille.

I do not believe the temp/compass console will work in any 4cyl Tacoma.

I got this from CARPRO back in March for my 2012 PreRunner. It doesn't have the wiring for me to plug it up and show it works. If you do buy it and it doesn't work I will refund your money.
