Looking for 2nd Generation Leer 122 Cap

Hey guys and gals,

I am looking to purchase a 2nd generation tacoma leer 122 (maybe leer 180 or Are MX) for my silver 2011 tacoma. A black cap would work too, but for the right price I guess i wouldn't be picky on the color. I am willing to pick up anywhere in New England. I just can't seem to find one anywhere on Craig's list and I won't pay $1700 for a new one. Thanks in advance!

No one has a cap they are looking to sell? Just figured i would give this a bump. Sorry if I affend anyone.

 

I had been looking for one also. After about 2 months, I just gave in a bought a new one. They are very rare, and when they do come up, they only last a few days it seems. I was using searchtempest.com. Good luck.

Try talking to dealers in your area. That's where I picked mine up. 400 bucks for a nice ARE. People trade in trucks with them on and the dealerships sell them separate. A silver Leer one went for 350 the other day at a ford dealership close to me.

 

I have a Impulse Red Leer 100R in Maryland. I just posted it on the 2nd Gen parts page yesterday.

Thanks for posting. if i was going to make the trek to mayland, it would have to be for a leer 122. I have no doubt you will be able to sell it. if someone was closer i would go for a 100. thanks!

Tony- have you checked out the one recently listed on The local CL? I can not link it, but it's an ARE (series 100, I belvieve) located in mass for $800.

 

Mike, I check everyday, but haven't seen it. Thanks for letting me know though! I can't believe how hard they are to find. I plan on sleeping in the back when i drive to AK this summer thus why I am looking for a high rise. I have seen many flush with the cab caps, but those won't work for me.
