Yup, they're connected to the power wires of a front and rear camera. If you look closely at my mirror in the picture you can see the video feed of both.

I don't want to thread jack here but to answer your questions, yes it's a custom mirror! The rear camera is OEM tailgate, the front is a cheap little $13 license plate mounted camera.
You can find this mirror on eBay for $100 with the mount, or $80 with the retractable clips that grab on to an existing mirror.
I'll make a thread on how to do this but for now, here is where you can get it:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Dual-4-...d=100011&prg=1005&rk=4&rkt=5&sd=181125399008&

Contact the seller personally, tell him you would like to purchase it separately from eBay and he'll knock it down to $80 shipped. Not too bad I say.
I suggest getting the one with the mount though, I had to go buy a cheap replacement mirror and bolt this mirror to it. More details In the thread.
    It's really awesome btw :)

I was thinking of doing something similar here, but instead of mounting a switch panel I would mount my scanguauge. I haven't had a chance to figure out the details yet as my sg won't be here until tomorrow, so I'll ask:

Once you've got inside the console/sunglass holder could I run my sg wire through and snake it under the headliner? Would the sgII even fit in this area? Ideas/suggestions?

Thanks and sorry [OP], don't mean to thread jack

Check my build thread...too much to list.

Could you move the switch panel closer to the map lights and put another row of switches below that?

Holy crap dude this is sick

You REALLY need to get In touch with sPOD and make some real cash. They don't have much for tacomas- they made me a sweet setup custom but this is just as good!
I know a ton of people would jump on it.

Hey man. Anyway you could do them over the sunglass holder? Where yours is located, on mine (09), that is my temp and heading gauge, so I dont wanna cover that up

stay safe out there... and definitely add me to the production list when you get back, I'll take one. Especially if you can do switches on the rear sunglass holder rather than the forward one.
