So I will admit I knew nothing about trucks when I purchased my 2013 PreRunner. Since that time I have become infected with tacos and learned as much as I can. This has been a very enjoyable experience unfortunately this new knowledge has also made me realized I just spent allot of money on the wrong truck for me.
I frequent steep muddy logging roads in the Sierra Nevada and the snow covered wilds of the east side. Why I thought I could get by with a Prerunner is due to the fact I work in the city and majority of miles are freeway.
I was wrong, and I am paying for my lack of judgment. I need a 4X4.
My PreRunner is amazing and has all of the extras(SR5,entune,JBL,etc)
If anyone is interested in a Brand New Prerunner (2500 mi) in CA Please contact me. I am just going to eat all the taxes and fees and take 30% off of the custom made camper shell i had installed that comes with it.
I paid 33,600.00 and installed a 1700 leer camper shell.
I’m eating all of the taxes 3,600.00 and only charging 1475.00 for the brand new camper shell.
    $31475.00
Contact me for allot more pictures.
    Thanks

Yeah I just traded it in at the dealership and took the hit!

    But now I have a 2013 TRD sport 4x4 :)

Hopefully will keep this one for the next 20 years.

    Cheers

Glad you got what you wanted...When I moved to Tennessee I had a 07 Ram 1500ST 2wd, fully paid off. Once I moved to the mountains I found that with an open 2wd and 3.21 gears, I needed a four wheel drive and waited two years with a part time truck, sharing a jeep with my wife on bad weather days...

Got the '11 Access Cab 4x4 6speed with towing package with trade in for 20k in new loan, over 50 months the dodge cost me $158 a month in capital cost...a lease for the same period would have been over $300.

So driving the old truck, with limitations saved me a large amount of cash. Now that I have the taco, it is the best truck I have EVER owned to include full sized vans and pickups of the major three US brands, two Toyotas including a FJ60...

However, it still won't go where my 1962 M37 Military Power Wagon will...

Yes in jan of 07 I paid $24,000 otd and in April of 07 I got a second one for $24,500 but with tow package, LSD, and off road wheels. In 2012 a buddy paid about $25,000 otd. On the average we paid $500-1000 below invoice which is around $4000 under sticker.

OriOn, (or anyone with knowledge of this) with your traction problems you had with the 2WD had you ever tried putting weight in the rear of the truck bed? Like 4 cynder blocks or something? I had a F150 before & that is what I always did & I never had any problems in any kind of snow. Reason I ask is I am about to get my registration for my new/used 2WD PreRunner & was hoping to get the same results as I did with the F150. Let me know. Thanks.

yeaaaah... you can buy a brand new TRD off road 4x4 v6 auto for that much.

just bought my 2013 TRD DCSB TRD off road 4x4 v6 auto for just under 31k before taxes back at the beginning of nov.

SR5 4x2 prerunner long bed should be quite a bit less... same truck on toyota.com is 29,380 msrp...
