05-11 Sport (scooped) hood, blue, has some damage...

Got this with the intention on getting the dents fixed, getting it repainted, and rocking it. But now that I'm getting rid of the truck, I'm just going to let it go.

It's actually not in all too bad of shape, just needs some TLC. I'm not a body man so I couldn't tell you if the dents could be hammered out or if it's going to need body filler for sur. Paint is chipped on the edge by the dent, but it's not rusting. The scoop insert was plasti-dipped by the previous owner and it's starting to peel off. Lastly, I don't know what's all over the bottom of the hood, looks like someone splattered purple paint all over it was like that when I got ahold of it, I have no idea...

hey travis, could you possibly estimate how many dents are on it? I'm gonna try to get a quote to get it fixed

 

It's sort of two dents together forming sort of a wave right there on the edge, about the size a fist. Also I forgot to mention there's a very small ding right behind the left washer sprayer, looks like it wouldn't be hard to push out from behind but again I'm not a body man lol

travis, soo.. i'd like to purchase the hood, but i rarely go to gainesville, if my sister goes up there one weekend, would you be willing to meet her in gainesville off the exit or something?

ooh also just wanted to make sure, the scoop and insert and guide plate and all that is complete? it's completely sealed right?

 

sorry for all the q's, just 2 more i was lookin at the edges, on the passenger side, it's pretty far off, is that just due to the dents/wrinkle? and how does the driver's side look? I just wanted to be sure it was a good idea to get this one fixed rather than just go buy an aftermarket, the scoop parts is what makes this one a good deal

 

All the scoop parts are there yes sir. I don't think the body line is any wider on the passenger side than the drivers side due to the dent.

I'll give you $50 shipped for the insert I have a unpainted scooped hood just need insert and hardware to bolt it in.

 

Really don't want to split it from the hood, trying to get someone to take the whole shabang... I don't want to just throw the hood away because it IS repairable, but if I part the insert from it that's exactly what I'm going to do with the rest of it...

 

Well keep me in mind if you do wanna get rid of the insert only!
