Just installed this on a 2013 DCSB OR 6MT. Install was fairly straightforward, with a few minor exception. There were some wire bundles attached to the intake plenum underneath the air box that I had to cut the attachment for, then zip-tie once installation was complete. Additionally, we seem to have an extra air pump attached to the back of the plenum and a bracket that holds two coolant lines. Both can remain intact during installation, but the rear of the plenum is a bit difficult to move around.

I elected to remove the throttle assembly from the plenum and air box via 4 bolts instead of removing the larger hoses.

The size sockets you will need:

10mm for the battery terminal and most other brackets.
12mm for the plenum brackets themselves, and the two nuts over the torx studs on the plenum.
    13mm for the supplied bolts.
phillips head screwdriver and pliers for clamps.
flathead for general use and wire bracket removal.

Overall, 2012+ vehicles may take a bit longer than the initial estimate but if you're confident enough to attempt, you can figure out the challenges.

Initial impressions are generally in line with others; noticeable torque gain at low to mid RPM. Won't knock your socks off but you will notice. Would buy again. (I only have about 10 miles since install, so the ICU will continue to work out bugs.)

One big suggestion I have.... Take time to clean the throttle body with carb cleaner or similar stuff. I also cleaned the intake manifold too.

Needless to say, it fixed a slight drivability issue I had.

sub'd...i tow a pretty heavy trailer (prob around 4500#) from time to time and my v6 is noticeably sluggish...wondering how much this would help...also my truck is a 6sp and according to the dyno's on this product there wasn't as much HP gain which is dissappointing.

The low/mid range is where the gains primarily are achieved. This isn't a top end mod. It works well for towing, heavy equipment, larger tires etc. My truck definitely responds better and has more torque.

any idea why the 6sp had such smaller gains than the auto?

Not really, though I know I've sold to both manual and auto owners all have been happy with the product and it's gains

I did not read through this whole thread, sorry, but have these actually been dyno'd showing results back to back on the same day and dyno?

Just curious because I have done several builds where we have tried spacers showing no improvement on the dyno or the track. I just did a build not to long ago gained a substantial amout of power and torque on a 363c.i. Dart block Mustang when I switched from a long runner efi Edelbrock intake and coverted a Super Victor carb intake to efi which is a very short runner.

I know differ setups respond differently so I was just wondering, thanks.

pretty sure on the order page there are dyno charts of both a manual and auto doing back to back runs.

I am still rocking mine and love it, good gains in the mid.

Yes the Dynos were done same day, both trucks, both with and without the spacer. I think it went manual without spacer, then auto with spacer, while the auto was being run we installed the spacer on the manual, when the auto finished we ran the manual with spacer, and while it was being run we uninstalled the auto, finishing the sequence with auto and no spacer.

How long will this GB be around? Once I start work again (I am a college student) I would like to buy this but right now even though I could use the slight MPG gain on my commutes, I need to hold onto my $$$.

From a Tacoma perspective, appears that this is a perpetual GB, from mpg perspective, will take lotso time to recover the $$$ from any mpg delta

Thanks for the input. I understand it isn't really a turnaround investment, but after searching the thread for "MPG" I read a lot of posts in which no one mentioned loss of power or MPG, a few mentioned noticeable improvement and a little more power (iffy) and one person said it was strictly a low-end RPM improvement.

That is good for me because I never go high end (MPG enthusiast) so aftermarket parts really can't apply to me :( but once I am working my next internship this $215 will be nothing and I feel like it's worth the money. Everyone seems happy with their investment.
