I got my NAV unit a couple weeks ago. Went in flawlessly. The unit itself was in perfect condition. Installed entune app on my S4. Work just great as long as I have mobile signal. Entune starts right up automatically when my bluetooth connects.

Sold my Entune Audio Plus head unit on ebay for $300.

Couldn't be happier with my cheap upgrade.

Got my unit yesterday. Installed today in about 30 minutes works great. Thanks FLTrucks. Manuf date was November '14. From date I received his email to the date received was about 8 days including the holiday.

I have a few questions, and I'm sorry if this is repetitive, but there are 49 pages to this thread and my eyes are starting to get blurry from trying to find answers to my questions. So here it is:

    1. I have a 2012 DCSB TRD offroad Tacoma with a stock radio (non jbl, non touchscreen, just basic radio. I do have a USB port and steering wheel controls). What additional parts will I need in order for my XM, USB, and hand controls to work? I want the unit to work seamlessly with my USB, XM and hand controls. Can anyone provide part numbers/links for me?

    2. It might be a stupid question, but what is the easiest way to get the new VIN in order for entune to work? Get one from a truck at the dealership?

    3. Is there anything I'm missing that might be important?

I appreciate any answers that any members could provide.

Can anyone give me the dimensions of this unit. Height, width and depth? I am thinking about trying a retrofit in to my 05 sequoia of one of these or possibly a non nav unit. I can fab whatever mounting bracket I need, just can't enlarge the factory opening much without getting in to the air vent.

    Thanks

    Gentlemen and Ladies,

    I just became a member :)

I just picked up a 2015 DC, Sport, Long Bed, 4x4.

I really want an Entune Radio with Nav.

I just bought a 2015 truck with Entune Plus, so the up grade would be plug and play for me if I read the thread correctly.

I will happily pay $500.00 for one.

Please give me a call, I don't want to buy one from SET South East Toyota.

Anyone ever figure out how to get this to sit flush on a 2011 - ?

I have a 2010 TRD Sport w/ JBL, and from what I've read so far, it doesn't fit very well, gaps, etc...

Paypal payment made 11/28 and unit was received 12/3. Arrived new in the box with everything I needed. Plugged straight in within 20 minutes and works like a charm. Couldn't be happier with my purchase!

    Hello Everybody,

    New member here, :)

I went to the Toyota dealer to investigate buying a new head unit to replace the one that I have, an Entune Plus for an Entune Plus with nav.
They are telling me that the wiring is different and the shark fin does not have GPS in it. There a few members here who had a simple install, plug and play success.

I really want to do this mod to my truck, are there any complications and or will I just need the GPS antenna and if so can it live under the dash.

Thanks Guys for all your expertise,

    Kevin :)

The dealer is wrong. The wiring is the SAME, and if you have the Shark Fin, you have the GPS antenna, though FLTRUCKS is including the antenna with purchases.

    SprtBkr,

    Thanks,

Both Torrance California, Toyota Headquarters and Southeast Toyota gave me the same story that the wiring is different and no GPS antenna "and changing it will void my warranty". Shark Fin must use GPS for traffic and weather although they are from HD Radio.

I am confident that this forum is spot on and they are wrong !!

I am looking forward to getting a unit from FLTrucks.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

    PS
    I have a 2007 GSXR 750, super nice bike :)

    Kevin:

I have been given wrong information from the dealers so many times, I've lost count.

I wanted to swap out HUs in my wife's Subaru with another Subaru HU and they told me it couldn't be done. It was a simple plug-n-play swap with no issues. Same story when I put a backup camera in her Subbie.

I have more faith in the forum members than the dealer.

    Kevin,

I just installed mine Saturday 12/6. To be clear FLTrucks includes a GPS antenna with the HU, but during the install I realized that it wasn't necessary. Reason being the navigation antenna utilizes the same port as the XM antenna on the head unit. Hence I used the already existing antenna that was in place for my XM radio and everything worked like a charm. No clue what load of BS the 'Stealership' is selling but don't buy it. Take it from someone who knows first hand! GLW your upgrade.

    Nick,

This was what I expected, thanks for the reply.
I really appreciate this forum and have learned to trust them.
I have a new corvette and their forum has the likes of Mario Andretti and many very authoritative people.

I just hope FLTrucks can come through for me...

    Kevin:)
