You can't upgrade the Toyota Entune Audio Plus head unit to nav. You need to purchase the Toyota Entune Premium audio w/Nav head unit that FLtrucks is offering. This is your only option other than an after market HU.

Has anyone install one in a 2010 Tacoma? The truck does not have bluetooth phone controls on the steering wheel, like my 2012. I have also noticed the 2010's that have Bluetooth phone have the speaker in the Gentex rear view mirror.
Will the truck need the phone Bluetooth added, to function with this head unit?

So what is the benefit of this radio vs stock touchscreen unit? Does it offer more features then just navigation? Can you hook up an oem rear camera to it?

I suspect this is probably only true for certain trim levels. I also have a '13 and do NOT have a voice button. If you don't have a voice button, how do you activate voice commands? Is there a voice button on the HU panel?

I should probably add that I am interested in this upgrade and that I currently have a '13 with the standard non-jbl, non-nav, touch screen lo-fi radio with simple steering wheel controls (Volume up/down, left/right arrows and mode buttons on left - call/hangup buttons on right). So, if I read these forums correctly, all I need is one of the new HUs and a GPS antenna and it will plug into my existing connectors. Do I need to get a steering wheel pad with a voice button to make voice options work? And if I got get a new steering wheel control pad with the voice button, it is also plug and play (no running new wires)? Also, I would also need to find a VIN number that works with the entune Nav radio. How does one find that vin and how does it get entered into the radio (I don't spend much time looking at the stereo when I'm driving)?

Does the entune radio with Nav also provide info such as mileage and fuel efficiency (MPG)?

Another thing I have noticed using my windshield-mounted GPS is that when I look at the GPS, I can still see the road in my peripheral vision. But with my mother's car, the in-dash nav is so far down in the center console it takes your eyes completely off the road to look at it. With where the Tacoma Nav/stereo is located, do you still find you have peripheral vision on the road?

Received and installed mine today. Date of manufacture is December 2014. I think this actually the 2015 model now (or at least the software). It has the clock on the top of the home display that auto updates. The unit works perfectly. Thanks FLTrucks!

    Fellow Members,

FLTrucks came thru with a what appears to be a new NAV unit for $450 what a deal, $3,550 at dealer.

November 2014 manuf. date, same as one I pulled out of my 2015 taco.

He is a no BS dude, I paid and He delivered promptly.

This is a plug and play install for a 14 or 15 with Entune Plus, 1 hour install.

    Thanks
    Kevin ;)

Does anyone know the part numbers to get the backup camera image displayed in the head unit rather then the mirror?

    Hi Kev,

Maybe a stand-alone DIY thread on the 2012 install would be great!

    Thanks man!

Got mine installed today. Everything works great except the lights on the buttons. Anyone ever determine why some of these units have had this problem?

While I haven't tried it yet. A number of people say it is pretty much plug and play into a 2013. There is a thread here---> http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/au...oem-radio-into-2013-pictures.html#post7989037

However, if your 2013 does not have a voice button, you will not have access to the voice control function. Although there is another thread on putting the 2014 steering wheel controls in a 2013. I think this thread discusses both putting the unit in a 2013 and upgrading the steering wheel controls---> http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/audio-video/304014-2014-navigation-unit-2013-a.html

I will probably give this a shot once the weather gets nice (Being in Minnesota, that could mean I won't get to it until June).

My button lights only work when my headlights are turned on. I believe that is how they are supposed to work. Try turning your headlights on and see if your button lights work.
