Does anyone know what the HU uses for Nav software? Is it Garmin? Igo? TomTom? And how does it compare to an actual GPS (like a Garmin 210W). (My only experience with in-dash navigation is a 2012 Ford Sync system which, while it will get you from point A to point B, it doesn't always choose the most direct - and sometimes not even close to direct - route, and while it does contain points of interest, navigating the map ap, puns intended, to find those POIs is a real chore. Of course, it is powered by M$, so I guess I shouldn't have had real high expectations.)

Per FL Trucks I reinstalled the unit and now lights work. When I was removing it the blue plug came out. When I did the original install I made sure I pushed all plugs in firmly. I would suggest anyone installing one of these to give a slight tug after plugging in the cables to make sure they don't pop out.

So in previous models they have used the Garmin navigation. Now they use an SD micro card. I did try looking some information up on this but could not find anything. The part number on the SD Micro card is 86271-OE182

I would imagine that they probably stuck with Garmin. But it would be nice if someone could confirm. The micro-SD card just contains the map data. The standalone Garmin GPS units allow you to install map data on an SD card if the maps you want are too big to store in internal memory. I wonder if you could get the map updates directly from Garmin or if you have to get them from Toyota.

My nav should be here tomorrow. Can't wait! Where / how are you guys mounting the nav's antenna? Anyone have pics of the location?

I just laid mine over the air duct behind the radio and it works great. Grabbed my location right away.

Installed into a 2012 X-Runner. Just waiting on the USB cable adapters but everything else works.
    Love it so far.

LED interior lights. Steering wheel mod. New radio. Amp, speakers and sub woofer.
Wanting to get one of these. I have a couple of questions.

I have a '13 w/JBL, voice button on the steering wheel and xm. Fltrucks has told me that he has a JBL version of the radio he is selling.

    1. Will the install be a direct replacement with all plugs the same? I've read here that the '13 is a one to one swap. Not sure about the JBL version.

    2. Does anybody know if the 2013 - 2015 JBL version has xm integrated or is it a separate module? Haven't had my radio out yet to know.

    Thanks
