2013 Leer 122 Long Bed Shell (6')

Found a used Flippac and couldn't resist so I need to sell my less-than-a-year-old Leer 122 long bed shell

White with full carpet, removable front slider window, sliding side windows w/ screens, 12v dome light w/ automatic switch, interior clothes hanger, factory-mounted Thule tracks (I put new tracks on the Flippac and am keeping the racks).

Paid $2000 in Feb 2013

$950.00 obo

Any chance you'd be driving through Colorado any time soon? The skiing is great now!!!

I wish.

Winter roadtrips will probably be limited a few weekends to Yosemite and Tahoe.

I'm a school teacher so longer roadtrips tend to be in the summer.

I know your 122 sold, but am thinking about the same cap new for my tacoma...how did you like it? Particularly, how the rack worked and I interior room. Thinking about using it for road trip truck camping. Thanks.

Hopefamp,

For a solo camper, the 122 was awesome. When my wife and I took some road trips it got a little crowded. Sleeping was great but accessing under the platform and changing clothes in tight spaces demanded a lot of patience and cooperation.

My platform is built to the height of the wheel wells and I could comfortably sit up. I'm 6' 1".

The roof rack was awesome. I carried bikes, kayaks and longer-term base camping items where they didn't interfere with quick overnight stops.

I also really liked the looks and it improved my gas mileage.

The Flippac is amazing for camping. So much space but it's fugly as all get out and takes a couple of MPG away. I mounted a roof rack on the Flippac as well. It's great but anything on the rack has to be unloaded to open the tent which can get tedious at times.

I took an 8 week road trip from LA to Portland and back via the mountains going North and the coast coming South this last summer. It was a solo trip as I'm now divorced. I think it would have been easier and more fun if I'd still had my Leer.

Hope That Helps,
Ted
