    Hey Guys,

I have a extra grey overhead console with temperature guage and Compass that I am looking to sell. The compass/temp gauge and lights have all been tested and work. The console itself has two very small scratches on the surface (pictured) but that is about it.

    Asking $120 shipped

    Call/Text Kolt @ (253) 225-8076

Man, if it didn't require me to drill through my firewall to get the temp sensor installed I would take it! GLWS

u should check to see if the harness for your temp sensor is already there, mine was, all i needed to do was add the sensor, which is about $15-20

it should be right in front of your radiator

I have an unused harness with plug in my headliner but i don't think i have the temp sensor. Where specifically is that sensor on your radiator support?

Actually I just looked at mine and it is mounted to the virticle support directly in the center front of the radiator. Right behind the center of the grill.

yea that's where it goes when installed/ already in place in your trd model, but they are hidden away if it is not already installed, but not all sr5 models have the harness

Here's the plug you want to look for. That where the ambient temp sensor plugs into. It might be bundled up with the horn wires.

My truck was pre-wire up on the overhead console, but I didn't have wires going out to the radiator for this plug, so I ended up running my own wires. Everything works perfectly fine.

I don't see the wires with the horn, but i have the plug in the headliner. I know where the temp sensor is supposed to go, but if i can't find the harness near the radiator support that the sensor plugs into, i'm not wiring the truck...

Thank you to everyone who lent information.

OP, GLWS. Hopefully other people will have their question answered by all our posts.

I found the plug in my overhead console also, however, when I went to look for the sensor near the grill I couldn't find the plug either. Finally, after a while searching I found it hanging behind the radiator wrapped in tape. It was a pain to find but if yours has the plug in for it in the console, the sensor wire probably is there somewhere. Hope you find it

Good to hear you found your man! i think those builders for toyota were really trying to hide mine. I chased the horn wires, the head light wires, and anything else behind the grill and i can't seem to locate the temp sensor plug. I've even started removing plastic parts and am digging all around the radiator....still have not located it...

it's possible you don't have it prewired, you wouldn't be the only one

That'd be my luck man. It would really piss me off to have the harness in the headliner and not to the front of the truck....why leave one harness on and cut another out when assembling a truck on the line? Doesn't make sense to me...

Does the 2014 have the harness for the overhead temp sensor? Hmm

I think you would have to check. just like the other guys it could be a toss up whether you have it or not.
