HomerTaco "Raptor" style mesh set f/s (batch of 7)

I do not make these to order but I have gotten so many requests that I decided to make them in batches as time allows. (subscribe here for the main info thread)

- The mesh measures 32" wide and is intended for the 05-11 2nd gen application

This is the finished set with triangles that is powder coated matte black - the only thing missing is the lettering which is available from JLee @ BAMF. here

How easy is it to install the raptor mesh on a grill that Homertaco made its a thin lip ?

 

It's not.
The Raptor mesh in meant to fit into an inner grill surround that is notched to the same shape as the mesh profile - however it also works on a regular satoshi grill.
I will not fit properly at all on one of my thin lip grills.

On that note this batch is now all sold and pending payment - I'll post here should someone back out and one become available.

For future reference , when available again (hopefully real soon). How are these gems monted/installed ?! If possible can a link be posted !? I know I can't wait to get one of these grills. The first time I seen these they went on "The Must Have List"

 

craig you might as well make a deal with jerry and order a ton of the raptor letters cut out, and just sell a raptor grille/kit pre made

Jerry is my supplier for the letters too - it's much easier for me to just direct members to purchase from him.
It's hard enough finding the time to make the extra sets much less making an assembled set with letters!

 

Im a little confused and need some clarification. If I get my hands on one of these mesh raptor style inserts, How do I install?? Will it insert into my stock grill somehow? Maybe with a little modification? Or do I have to have a complete different aftermarket grill surround to put this in? Thanks for any input, Im kind of a newbie.

 

You would need to cut the center out of your stock grill and either fiberglass and bodo the gaps or plastic weld and bond the gaps. And if i understood craig correctly you will need a full depth satoshi. A thin lip or shallow one will not work. So yes it will take a little bit of modification but its not too hard. Just takes a little time and patients
