As you can see my current mounting has the tent sitting much higher off the truck cap than it needs to be.
I'm looking forward to this new setup!

Hopefully this coming weekend will be my last trip with the RTT mounted in this fashion. :D

Check out post #45. It shows a rack with at least 500 lbs and isn't even full floor. If you were to add more crossbars the weight capacity would go up even more. Or you could do less crossbars and simply bolt a full piece of aluminum, abs, or hdpe across the entire top of the rack. Then you would have a full flat floor and the weight capacity would easily be 400lbs on the roof of the truck as well as the shell as long as your shell is reinforced.

What's current turn around time? Any plans of offering planks instead of bars?

Turn around time is about 1 week from the time you place the order to the time I drop it off to ship. What are you thinking as far as planks?

Mounted my traction ramps up on the roof rack. Super easy with the slot profile. A couple of threaded rods, some rubber washers, and some knobs for easy on and off.

After much delay.....the PrInSu Design Studio FJ Rack is here. Spent the day with a super cool local guy getting this thing fitted and installed. He is going to have a special coating done in the next little while but so far it turned out great. I will be working out pricing and information on this model soon.

Great work Zach! Awesome product and an awesome addition to my FJ. I cant be more pleased with your design and the rack's versatility as it is a HUGE improvement over the OEM tube racking. We got to get together again for better pictures once its all painted up.

I am still stoked over this setup! So refreshing to have something different among all the Yota forums! I ve decide to go with Rhino as they provide a thin and durable ceramic coating without detracting from the awesome lines of Zach's design, which I'm afraid the rough texture of a product like Line-X will do. Plus, since it can be tinted so I can get it in a satin black. Hopefully, it will turn out be as awesome as I am imagining!

Yeah unfortunately there is a lot of bashing on them. I personally love mine and can't complain about them so far.
