Well its a land Cruiser with a diesel so I've got that going for me.
It's no taller than the OEM rack if not lower actually.

The rack will add about 2-2.5" maximum to the height of the roof. There is only about 1" of clearance between the top of the ridges on the middle of the roof and the HD crossbars. The crossbars are 1" thick and then the side plates have about a 1/4" to 1/2" ridge above the crossbars.

Zach - I'm thinking I know what I want but have a another question about the bars. I'm definitelyy going with the 6' Topper Rack for my Leer and want to go with the HD Bars. The rack comes with 8 but I'd be looking to have them evenly spaced with no more than ~6" clear space between the bars. My guestimate had me figuring I'd need 10 (8 + 2 more). How wrong am I??

If you have the shark fin the top of the rack sits about level with it in the back. As Zach said it's only a couple inches off the roof.

The standard 8 crossbars is going to give you 7" spacing between the crossbars except on the ends where the spacing is lower due to the fit. Unfortunately the way the rack is setup you can't drop to 6" without the spacing being somewhat uneven. The next increment you could drop to and have even spacing would be 15 crossbars that would give you 2.5" of clear space between the crossbars.

You could add 2 for a total of 10 crossbars and make the spacing tighter in certain areas or try and get it even throughout but it won't be exact.

Do these all come with middle cut out of the front diffuser to better follow the roofline now? Also is it possible to get a custom diffuser tall enough to block air on pelican rifle cases

I can certainly get a custom deflector for you that is taller. Of of them from here out will have the curved bottom. The custom height will just add a little bit of lead time since it isn't a commonly stocked item.

Zach. Just got my rack in. Looks great! Your packaging skills are insane though. Took me forever to get it all off.. Anyways. Is there an instruction booklet or something to go off of?

Hey Zach , is there an easy way , perhaps with blocks of some fashion , to raise the height of the cab rack maybe an inch or so ?

As DoorDing mentioned the issue with doing this would be the additional lateral forces would be the main concern. It wouldn't be to hard though to get a block of HDPE, Aluminum, or some other plastic that is 2" tall by .75" wide and 2-3" long for each mounting foot.

I find it a little crappier. I think it's just because the snow packs around the antenna more with the rack installed. XM reception is always crap here though... I should really stop paying for it.

Only for the access cab, from what I've read. The double cab models already have threaded inserts for the factory roof racks. Under the weather stripping.
