ARE Camping shell price?

I am selling an ARE camping shell that is only 3 years old. The outside is in nearly perfect condition, and the toolboxes on the inside of the windows have a little wear. It is for a short bed. I know this seems ironic asking people that may want to buy this from me, but what is it worth? I imagine it was well over $1000 new, (bought the truck 3 months ago) but I am also putting it on craigslist and have no idea what I should put as the price. Any advice? Or offers? Ha! Yeah that does look good. If I had enough money I would like to get a replacement bumper like that. I wish I didn't have to sell my top, but in order to get a brush guard, leveling kit, and tool box I need the money. It's a good looking addition that's for sure!

 

My leer was 2K if that helps. It has carpet, sliding removable rear window, sliding side windows, and electric actuator (tied to remote lock/unlock).

You might just call an ARE dealer and see what they go for.

 

I paid $700.00 for a 2 yr old MGM A.R.E Z- series, carpet, fold down slider, remote lock. It was for DCLB. He was asking $900.00 and talked him down to $700 That's about normal around here in MN. There's a couple on craigslist here now for DCSB.

Just found out this morning from the previous owner that he paid $2500 out the door for this top.

 

This may be true, but I find that hard to believe. Mine was over 2k and I would throw up if I sold it for 500.

I would start high and see what happens.

 

Yeah, I agree. I don't expect to get half of that back, but I think it could very well be worth around $1000. I guess we will see what happens!
