2012-2014 aFe Cold air intake (51-82342) *will also fit 2005-2011* (Used, almost NEW)

Going to be up for sale in the coming days/week or so, my aFe cold air intake with the Pro Dry S filter for the 2012-2014 Tacoma 1GR-FE 4.0 V6 (will actually fit 2005-2014) kit will come with the entire system and hardware ( NOTE: I will be keeping the wire harness extension *aFe Part Number 05-01266*, if you have a 2012-2014 and need this harness extension, you can either have me order another one for you, but you are absorbing the cost) or order one yourself, the part number is also listed in the kit's directions, an approximately $10 part, and aFe would be more than happy to assist you if you choose to order it yourself, I've ordered individual parts from aFe many times and never had a problem, just give them the harness part number. **OTHER EXTRA ITEMS INCLUDED IN SALE ARE** CUSTOM TRD air box cover, 1 brand new, never used Pro Dry S filter, TWO nylon prefilters, one new, 1 used, a BRAND NEW extra air box auxiliary port plug, and two brand new, never used Pro Dry S cleaning solution bottles. Reason for selling is because my state recently went CARB tier 2 emissions on me without my prior knowledge, and since my truck is my daily driven vehicle, it needs to pass state inspection, so I'm going for the crappy but C.A.R.B. approved TRD cold air intake and mixing and matching parts from other brands in order to try and get it to work... this is not by choice but by force because I greatly prefer this intake over any other intake made or offered for these trucks (this intake is the same one as the earlier, more desirable TRD cold air intake that is now out of production) If you are interested, make sure that you are NOT in one of the 13 CARB tier 2 states. Asking $400.00 (plus whatever the shipping cost is, will be approximately $30-$50 depending on location) with the extras included (because the intake is practically new (6 months old) and has well taken care of, always wiped and cleaned AND you will be receiving a BRAND NEW FILTER ELEMENT AND PREFILTER) and the elements on there one have NEVER been used off road. Why $400? I found new ones online for $416? with the Pro Dry S.

 

because this is pretty much a new intake, only thing that will appear used will be the silicone couplers for the intake because the clamps obviously had to squeeze them for the intake to be held in place. plus you are getting extras that add up to $145.00 for free, breaks down like this:

$65.00 for a second, BRAND NEW Pro Dry S Filter
$20.00 for one pre filter
$20.00 for one pre filter (u get two with the purchase)
$20.00 for the air filter cleaning kit
$10.00 for the extra air aux. plug
$10.00 for custom air box lid

= $145 in extras and new items that you are basically getting for free... so the price evens out, even if u subtract a few bucks for the wire harness extension IF you even need it...

You are correct my friend, but on New Jersey's DMV website they said that all vehicles 2009 and up are going to be subject to aftermarket parts checks (as part of tier 2 cali emissions), and if you can't come up with the paperwork or a CARB EO sticker, you will not pass. No CEL on with aftermarket parts, you'll be good with a vehicle that is 2008 and older.

Wow, im very surprised, forget about inspections in north jersey, I.e. rahway or any stations further north, or around NYC, they are so picky with what you have because of the high congestion of people its crazy, I mean u could swap intakes back to stock at inspection time but I do not wanna be bothered, and I was going to take it to an independent guy that my GF's father is friends with (he's a mechanic by trade) and they got caught fudging people through after YEARS , decades even without being caught, and they have to pay a $15k fine to the state now

 

Damn.... when did NJ become such a communist regime? Anywhere using California legislation as an example is sure as hell gonna shit on anyone who doesn't drive a prius. Glad I don't live there.

 

Its mainly because its a very high population in a small space, New York enacted the legislation at the same time, and our governor just followed suit
