This is a used smooth aluminum tail gate reinforcement plate from Relentless Fabrication, it is in good shape just a little dirty. I didn't get around to painting the plate that's why I put tape on the back and lip of the plate, so it wouldn't scratch the paint on the truck. Also including some oem top screws and new plastic screw holders that go in the tailgate, not shown in the pictures.
    SOLD

These work great! I have the steel one from Relentless. If you load a lot of stuff in/out of your Tacoma the tailgate can and does bend easily because the inside surface is just a piece of ribbed plastic. The OEM plastic saves weight and holds up okay until you put too much weight on the tailgate then you are screwed! You are looking at $500 for a replacement tailgate and hope you find one in your color. The top lip on these tailgate stiffeners is what strengthens up the whole deal. And once installed gives your tailgate a solid feel. The nice thing about the aluminum one is you do not have to paint it if you don't want to. Mine is the steel version and I used Eastwood chassis black primer and paint, both in a rattle can. Has held up well.
