Yes ladies and gentlemen, i am looking to trade my black rear bumper. Its a 2008 painted black bumper with no scratches or dents, its flawless really. It however is not black sand pearl, its the base black color. If you are looking to black out your truck this is a lot better than chrome, and its free if you trade.

I would like either chrome or silver.
    I live in Houston Texas.

I don't want to mislead anybody, it is painted black, but its not that high gloss finish.

I'm an hour from Houston and would be all over this if it was BSP.

I'd love to have it. I'd like to color match mine. Mine is chrome right now. But I'm in western Arizona. :hungry:

Thought about it. I painted my grill and it came out nice.

P and Steve, I was told that painting over chrome is a nasty situation and that it wouldn't adhere properly. Can you shed light on that?

With the grill being plastic, I was able to sand it real good and get a good cross hatch on it. I used a good quality 2 part primer and 2 part top coat. So far it is holding up. We'll see over the long run.

I'd be afraid the chrome on a metal bumper would be much harder and not hold paint as well. I would think it would be very difficult to even get it ruffed up to try to paint.

Never painted over chrome, just sanded it off to rough metal and painted from there. Chrome is fairly smooth so needs to be roughed up like any surface does for paint to stick. Maybe that's why? Not sure.

Yes, if you ladies want to talk about the intricacies of painting chromed steel bumpers please create a thread for it elsewhere.

You might want to put a link to this in the TX For Sale thread and the Houston BS thread.
