Replaces the factory side rail caps with STEEL........because steel is real.

    Design details:

    - Constructed of 1/8" thick steel for strength.
    - Mounts using factory bolts.
    - Mounts BEHIND the factory cleat rail.
    - Utilizes 1/16" thick water resistant double sided tape on top of the rail to act as a barrier between the cap and the truck's sheet metal.
    - Has openings in the top for hooking bungee cords.
    - Black textured powder coated.

Price is $170 per set, plus shipping. Includes gasket material and T30 Torx bit

PM for shipping quote and ordering details.

Great looking product. As mentioned in the other thread, looks like this would make an excellent base to built an exo-rack around a Softopper. One thing I'd like to hear about is the condition of the paint and clear coat once you have removed the OE plastic bedsides. My fear with an '09 truck is that there will be a noticeable marks in the paint that might not buff out. Anyone have any thoughts or input?

    Thanks,
    dd

My MGM did have some scuffs from the factory caps, but they will easily buff out.

Since size is not mentioned, does that mean that the long 6' bed model is available?

Oops, my bad. This is for the short bed. Rest assured, the long bed caps are not far off.

I'm very interested in a long bed version. I'm used to the little bit of a lip that the factory cap has... but hopefully this look will grow on me over the next couple of weeks!

I'm working on the long bed version. I have a friend who has a long bed, and I'm fishing with him this weekend, so I hope to measure it up then.

How much thickness does it add to the sides?
