Chad, you outdid yourself! You said you'd ship it out in a week. Not it would be here in a week! Glad I gave you a tip. Love the caps! The tape on tailgate is sticking a tiny bit out in one place but I got past having a perfect truck.

I have had these rail and tailgate caps for a few weeks. I am very happy with the construction of them. I liked the texture of the powdercoat as well. Yesterday I noticed this. Seems like it likes to chip extremely easy. I was able to just chip mor? Away with my finger. There are tiny rusr spots all down the rail because of tiny cracks in it. Plan to take them back off, grind them down, and spray them with bed liner. I wanted to ask if this texture powdercoat is as thick as normal powdercoating.

There were too many issues with powder coating from the last guy that I used. He has since been replaced.

The new guy does a much better job. His coating is bullet proof.

He sandblasts, then does a light coat of zinc primer, then powder coats.

There will be no more issues in the future.

Like anything else, you have to evolve the product and processes that it takes to make the product.

Sorry to hear about the lack of access to a LB for measurements. I'm dying to get a set here. My softopper will work so much better with something solid to mount it to instead of the hokey clamp setup. :)
